It's tough to get a read on roles at this point, because Duke has yet to practice as a team, but Wendell Moore Jr. thinks the Blue Devils will be more fast-paced and versatile this year.

00:00First is just all the uncertainty, obviously we want to know when we're
00:04going to start playing, when's our first game going to be.
00:09I mean, first, so I mean, obviously that's a little frustrating.
00:12But at the same time, we just have to, I mean, again, just stay ready so
00:16we don't have to waste our time getting ready and just, I really just keep
00:21progressing every day, you know, so the more we're ready, the easier it kind of is on us.
00:28I mean, right now we really haven't had a chance to discuss anything team wise.
00:32So everything right now has been more focused on us as individual players.
00:37Just working on our individual talents, just shaping our all around games.
00:44I mean, I can say this season, I know coach wants to get up and down a lot more.
00:47He wants to be a really fast paced team.
00:49And we have the personnel to do that.
00:51One through four team, we can all play at a fast pace.
00:55And multiple of our guys can play at multiple positions.
00:57So that's another good thing for us.
01:01So just being able to be versatile all around, and
01:04give us the opportunity to play many different speeds.
01:09I mean, I'll probably say for years we've been trying to get something done.
01:12This isn't the first time people have started to speak out against,
01:18like change needs to happen.
01:19And this isn't the first time people have said that.
01:22And now since we're in a pandemic and people can't go anywhere,
01:25it gives them no choice but to listen now.
01:28So there's really no different opportunity except now.
01:32This is really the best time that we have to all use our platforms and
01:35speak up for what we believe in.
01:38And again, we want to change now, but again, it's gonna be a process.
01:42And I mean, we're not gonna stop until a change has occurred.
01:47And that's a great comparison.
01:48I mean, anytime you can compare it to one of the very good players who have been
01:53through this program and now has the opportunity to make millions of dollars
01:57in the NBA, that's a great comparison, no matter who it is.
02:00And obviously, he's a really good player.
02:02He's one of my favorite players watching growing up here.
02:07And just the things he can do makes him really special.
02:13No, not the time.
02:14Kind of everything we did was based on our community.
02:17So really, we wanted to get out in our own communities to try to enforce change first
02:22before things start happening globally and nationally.
02:25I mean, that's the way everything starts, it's small and it gradually builds up.
02:29But since we've been back,
02:30we've kind of been in a collaboration of trying to get something going on here at
02:34Duke.
02:34We've been collaborating, mainly us two and one of the women's basketball players
02:40have all been in a collaboration about what we can do to make some kind of
02:44something happen on campus.
