00:00That is a great question, and the subject you're bringing up,
00:06to be honest with you, is bothering me personally.
00:11I was hoping at the beginning of this thing, I had great hope when we were
00:15having the American Football Coaches Association board meetings and
00:19we're in communication with the NCAA is that we would get a unified approach.
00:28I felt like from the beginning that that was gonna be necessary.
00:31I do have a fear of never seeing college football be the same.
00:38And it's just a unique time, and I realize it's 2020 and
00:44we can always recover from this.
00:48But I think each of us in this, first of all, we're the players.
00:53And secondly, the game itself.
00:55And then thirdly, certainly our profession, being professional.
01:00I just hope the leaders or the people that are involved with these
01:06very difficult decisions, and I hope coaches and
01:10players alike can find some common ground to make this work.
01:16But what you brought up is one of my gravest concerns of one group going one
01:22way, one group going the other, what are we gonna see in the future?
01:28And I can't even fathom it, but I don't see how we could be the same.
01:35I will say that it's a little frightening to me because I love college football.
01:42I have all my life.
01:43And I certainly don't wanna see any drastic changes to our great game.
01:48It's a great form of amateur football.
01:51It's provided a platform for a lot of great young men,
01:54both educationally, athletically.
01:58I guess we're the cheapest minor leagues for any major sport.
02:02The NFL doesn't have to fund us.
02:05So it's provided a lot of things for a lot of people.
02:09And I think our leadership really needs to step up at this time.
