Roy Williams discussed UNC's point guard position. Sophomore Anthony Harris hasn't been released for full practice and will miss the opener. That means freshman RJ Davis will need to step up. He's impressed Williams so far.

00:00 >> No, he will not play next Wednesday, but
00:02 he's starting to get more involved, but it's not completely been released yet.
00:07 He's still, again, he's doing some things, he's not doing anything full court.
00:12 He's doing some things half court and some things dummy, but
00:16 it's the medical people tell me when he's ready to go.
00:20 And when he does that, then we'll get back into the full court up and
00:25 down five on five stuff.
00:26 >> Well, that Iran is kind of next.

00:34 It's how important that is.
00:35 So we're more than probably any coach he's ever had.
00:38 He's really doing a great job of that.
00:40 He can score inside, he can block some shots.
00:42 He's not where we want to be defensively by any means.
00:45 He's really a good passer.
00:46 The only problem is, like a lot of quarterbacks, they don't see the defense.
00:50 But he'll make a great pass and then he'll turn it over or
00:54 make a great pass, and he'll be cut down on that part of it.
00:59 But taking the ball to the basket and rebounding his own missed shots and
01:02 other guys missed shots, he's been fantastic at that.
01:05 RJ gives you a little bit of old school values that he has out there,
01:09 because he's always penetrating, probing, trying to see what's happening.
01:13 A little under sized to play the two, but
01:16 he'll end up playing the two some as well this year.
01:19 And I think that he has a really good feel of how to play the game and
01:24 the pace that I wanna play.
01:26 And he just has good natural instincts.
01:28 He'll play a heck of a lot for us.
