00:00 >> John is an amazing football player.
00:02 He's and I say this every week now we talk about them there.
00:06 They're so well rounded and that's what makes them the weapons that they are.
00:11 I mean, both of them pass protect very well.
00:14 And not everybody thinks about that with regards to running backs, but
00:18 they do a great job there and then their weapons out of the backfield.
00:22 And that was an emphasis just even for me personally was to get them the ball more
00:28 outside of just running the football and it was an offensive emphasis.
00:32 And I think we've been able to do that this year and then,
00:35 they're just there's such huge mismatches in one on one scenarios out in open grass.
00:40 And that's kind of the same thing I was talking about with the receiver.
00:43 So we're trying to spread people out because we wanna get these guys the ball
00:49 in open space and then we don't have to coach.
00:51 We get to watch them be athletes and do the things that they do so well.
00:54 That's why we recruited them.
00:56 And that's the whole basis of the offense is to create grass and
00:59 get in the ball and grass and let them do their thing.
01:01 So, so far I think that those guys have shown that they're about as well rounded
01:06 as you could ask any running back to be.
01:09 It's interesting with Javante, his development has been,
01:12 I've done a couple interviews about DK Metcalf in the last few weeks.
01:18 And I really liken Javante relative to his position
01:25 to DK's kind of development just because they both were very,
01:30 very impressive athletes and very good players at their relative positions.
01:34 But to see the improvement, I think the biggest thing for
01:38 Javante and he probably tell you the same thing.
01:40 I'm just repeating what he told me is just his confidence level and
01:43 his own ability has grown exponentially over the last two years.
01:49 I think he knows right now he can run the ball on anybody,
01:52 he can catch the football, he runs good routes.
01:54 He has confidence in his own past protection.
01:57 So, he's a quiet, come to work, lunch pail, grind it out all week long.
02:04 I mean, we've heard that and in it, and that's how he plays and
02:07 he's not overly emotional, but he's really, really good and
02:11 he's extremely consistent.
02:13 I think that that lends to his poise out on the field.
