00:00 started to become their own individual leaders, but also their followers as well.
00:07 Because on a different day for that particular team, anybody could be the
00:12 leader and that's what was special about that team. One day it might be Jawad,
00:16 one day it might be David, next day it might be Wayman, next day it might be
00:19 Sean, and that's kind of the way it went and that turned into a national
00:24 championship. And again from you, from a fan perspective, you saw the growth
00:29 on the court, but y'all didn't necessarily see the behind-the-scenes
00:33 work that we put in. But for you and fans like you who love Carolina
00:40 basketball, we wanted to do it for you guys. And for conversations like
00:46 this years later, years down the line, to say, "Hey, we did this for you guys as well
00:52 as us, no question about it, but also for Coach Williams to leave
00:56 what he had at Kansas and to take a chance to come back to his alma mater.
01:01 I get it, it's his alma mater, it's his home, but what he had at Kansas was
01:05 really, really special. And on top of that, they were in the national
01:08 championship game year before. So for him to leave that and to come to the
01:13 University of North Carolina, we felt obligated to him to give it our all.
01:20 Now, did we know that was gonna turn into a national championship? I can't say yes,
01:24 we did. But I will say we were committed to giving Coach Williams our all,
01:30 ourselves our all, our teammates our all, and last but not least, the fans our all.
