00:00Good morning everyone and happy Wednesday.
00:04This is AJ Black, editor and publisher of BC Bulletin, here with another edition of
00:08our daily Morning Bulletin found only here on Facebook.
00:13If you like our videos, or you'd like to make sure that you don't miss our videos, please
00:17like our Facebook page.
00:19It also helps other Facebook people find us, other BC fans, and that makes a huge difference
00:24for us and helps our site grow.
00:26So please, if you could do that, that would be great.
00:29We are nearing day 100 of the quarantine for those of us that are actually practicing
00:35it, and at least in Massachusetts, everything closed down.
00:39There hasn't been a lot of new sports news other than recruiting things.
00:43I know Boston College Football has just returned to campus, but as you can see from pictures
00:48online, they're just meeting and it's going to be a while before they actually practice.
00:53So I wanted to kind of switch things up for today's mailbag and just think of something
00:57fun.
00:59Now, I don't go to games often anymore.
01:03As a fan, I will be going, you know, if I can go, I'll be going as a journalist this
01:09summer and the fall.
01:12But I wanted to think back to the times I had tailgated and gone to games and things
01:17like that.
01:18So next couple of days, I'm going to think about some topics that have to do with that.
01:23Today, it's morning.
01:25I have had my coffee, but I have not had my breakfast and I'm hungry.
01:28So I wanted to think of what was my favorite food to have at a tailgate.
01:33Now, you know, with Boston College, there's two different times you could be tailgating.
01:37You could be doing an evening or an afternoon tailgate.
01:39That's a whole one set of food.
01:41Or you could be doing a morning tailgate, and that's a whole other set of food.
01:44So morning tailgates, I loved grilling egg sandwiches.
01:48Those were my favorites for like a Saturday morning.
01:52To use my grill, you know, bring some bacon, some English muffins or bagels, eggs, bacon
01:57and sausage, cheese, throw that on a grill, boom, ready to go.
02:02That was my favorite.
02:03For the evening, you know, barbecue stuff, you can't go wrong with, you know, hot dogs
02:07and hamburgers.
02:08But I'm going to go with a side dish.
02:11And if Mama Black is listening, she's going to know what I'm going to pick right off the
02:15bat.
02:16And it was my buffalo chicken dip.
02:18My friends, you know, my friends who listen to this know exactly what I'm talking about.
02:22They'd come and want some of that.
02:24You'd get a big bowl of it and some chips and grab a drink, and that was a staple at
02:30my tailgates.
02:31I miss it.
02:32I haven't had that in a while, but that would be my staple and my favorite tailgating food.
02:38Every time I cook it for like a barbecue at home or a birthday party or anything like
02:43that, it always makes me think of college football.
02:45So those are mine.
02:47Now I want you to sound off in the comment section, please.
02:51What are some of the things that you like?
02:54And if it was made by someone, tag them in the comment section too and say, you know,
02:58I love so-and-so's hot dogs that they made, or I love their, you know, I love their pulled
03:05pork that they did, things like that, you know, whatever they did, leave it in the comment
03:08section.
03:09I want to hear what you guys do for tailgating.
03:12So we'll be doing a few more of these unless there's some more recruiting news.
03:15I just thought they'd be a little change of pace.
03:17This is AJ Black from BC Bulletin.
03:19Have a great day, everyone, and make sure you check back to the site as the day progresses.
03:24I will be talking along with the rest of the media to Jeff Halfley around noon.
03:28So check back and we'll hopefully have a story up by that by the end of the day.
