The Indians continued their intersquad games on Thursday as Carlos Carrasco threw against Logan Allen at Progressive Field, as the team gets ready to take on the Pittsburgh Pirates in three exhibition games over the next several days at PNC Park and at Progressive Field.

00:00Hi everyone, I'm Matt Lodi for Cleveland Baseball Insider here on SI.com.
00:05Thursday night, the Indians played yet another inter-squad scrimmage here at
00:08Progressive Field, and it was the home team coming away with a 6-3 victory.
00:11Some observations from this one, Carlos Carrasco got the start.
00:15The Tribe number three starter ended up going five innings.
00:17He'll pitch six innings in his final start before the regular season on the 21st.
00:22Carrasco allowed three runs on six hits.
00:24He did strike out five batters, and he certainly looks like he is getting ready
00:27for the start of the season.
00:29Carl Willis, Indians pitching coach, said that he felt that the breaking pitches
00:32for Carrasco were very good tonight.
00:34Logan Allen pitched for the visiting team, and he also looked good.
00:37Allen's going to be one of the guys out of the bullpen this year.
00:39He went four innings.
00:41He did allow a two-run home run to Bradley Zimmer, who continues to stay hot.
00:44Zimmer now has three home runs in his last two games, including four in the last
00:49four days, so Zimmer fighting for one of those outfield spots.
00:52Some other highlights included Greg Allen going deep.
00:54He made it 6-3 in the sixth and final inning with a two-run home run,
00:58and also Domingo Santana, good to see him get off the side.
01:01He had a grand slam the other night, and he had two hits in the effort
01:04on Thursday night.
01:06Again, 6-3, the home team gets the victory for the Tribe.
01:08They'll play the Pirates coming up on Saturday night at PNC Park, and then
01:12they'll be back here at Progressive Field on Monday for another game against Pittsburgh
01:15before wrapping that series up on Wednesday again back in PNC Park,
01:19and then they'll start the regular season for real a week from Friday when they take
01:23on the Kansas City Royals, and Shane Bieber will be on the hill for the Tribe.
