00:00 Yankee Stadium, Fenway Park, Wrigley Field.
00:04 There are a lot of famous ballparks in baseball,
00:06 but which one is the best?
00:08 Our MLB staff ranked them, including Stephanie Apstein.
00:11 Stephanie, you had Camden Yards number one?
00:14 - Yeah, to me, that's, as I said,
00:16 I think that's the platonic ideal of a ballpark.
00:18 It's got all of the,
00:20 it looks kind of like a Fenway and a Wrigley,
00:22 one of these old jewel box stadiums,
00:24 but it also has seats designed to fit a 21st century human.
00:29 It doesn't have the bad sight lines.
00:30 I think it's sort of the best way
00:32 you could update a ballpark.
00:34 - Yeah, I mean, I lived in Maryland,
00:35 went to school at UMD.
00:37 I agree, it's a great ballpark.
00:38 Problem is it doesn't have a baseball team, really.
00:41 - Well, that's true,
00:42 but they do have great crab cakes at concessions,
00:44 so you can go up with a pretty nice night there.
00:46 - Do you like the ballparks that were designed in the past,
00:49 the Wrigley Fields, and not the newer ones,
00:52 like, say, the renewed Yankee Stadium?
00:55 - Yeah, I like the history.
00:57 I like the idea that Ted Williams played there.
01:00 I think Yankee Stadium could have been,
01:03 could have sort of worked into that,
01:06 but it feels a little bit soulless,
01:07 and I think a lot of the new ballparks feel that way.
01:10 - Yeah, the old ones have that character in them.
01:13 Stephanie, appreciate your time, as always.
01:16 - Thanks for having me.
