If there is one person who has had his hands in the game of baseball for some time, it's super agent Scott Boras. While he and the rest of the nation await word on when Major League Baseball can start again, Boras told CNBC of a plan that could get the game up and running again sooner than later.

00:00 Hi everyone, I'm Matt Lodi with Cleveland Baseball Insider here on SI.com.
00:05 Well, there's an influential voice in baseball that's trying to get the game back on the
00:09 field sooner rather than later.
00:11 That influential voice is Super Agent Scott Boris.
00:14 Boris was on CMBC earlier this week and told them that he thinks he's got a plan that will
00:19 work for Major League Baseball to return sooner rather than later.
00:22 Boris' plan is to have a spring training in Florida and Arizona, that sounds fine, and
00:27 then for games to be played in California.
00:30 Gee, I wonder why, because Boris lives there.
00:32 He says that there's more than enough room in California, the weather's great, and there's
00:36 again an opportunity for all 30 teams to be in one location that's not too far apart from
00:41 all the major stadiums for teams to play in.
00:43 Now, of course, everything still has to get approved by Major League Baseball, the union,
00:47 and everybody else for that matter, even players, and owners for that matter, let's not forget
00:51 about them, they're going to have a big say in this as well.
00:54 The other plan that was put forth a while ago, according to Bob Nightingale of USA Today,
00:58 had games being played in Florida and Arizona, with a Cactus League in Arizona, and of course
01:03 a Grapefruit League in Florida.
01:06 Boris' plan is a little different, and again, it really does benefit him if games are going
01:09 to be played in California.
01:11 Boris' plan also is to have spring training going as soon as possible for games to be
01:15 started as early as June 1st and as late as July 1st.
01:20 Nevertheless, Major League Baseball remains on hold for now, even though behind the scenes
01:24 it sounds like a lot is happening in terms of discussion.
