There's a fight that is ready to take place as early as next week between baseball's owners and players over money that very much could determine the fate of if there is going to be a shortened 2020 Major League Baseball season or not.

00:03 Well, the war is officially set to begin between Major League Baseball's owners as well as
00:07 players when it comes to money.
00:10 The 2020 MLB season is on the line for a shortened 82-game schedule, and if the two sides can't
00:15 get together and figure out how each side is going to make money or get paid, there's
00:19 not going to be a 2020 season to speak of.
00:22 John Heyman, MLB Insider over at MLB Network reporting today that right now the players
00:27 are in no position to accept the 50/50 revenue share that the owners had in their agreement
00:32 that they handed over on Saturday of 67 pages.
00:36 San Diego Padres player representative Austin Hedges said on Monday that he felt that following
00:40 a conference call that the two sides were getting some things agreed on and getting
00:44 some things done.
00:45 Unfortunately, money is still not one of them.
00:48 If a 2020 season is going to get played, these two sides are going to have to come together
00:52 and compromise, and that's asking an awful lot out of two sides that normally don't see
00:56 eye to eye.
00:57 If there is a 2020 season, it's still scheduled to start in July at home parks around the
01:03 country.
