00:00 Major League Baseball has come to a conclusion as to who's at fault for the Boston Red Sox
00:06 2018 signed stealing scandal.
00:08 And it's not the front office manager, Alex Cora, nor any of the players, though not all
00:13 will get out of this unscathed.
00:15 The league reportedly suspended Boston's video replay system operator, JT Watkins, and docked
00:21 the Red Sox a second round pick in the 2020 draft.
00:24 The report determined that Watkins acted as a rogue employee and stated, "Many players
00:29 told investigators that they were unaware that in-game sign decoding from the replay
00:33 station had been prohibited in 2018 and 2019."
00:38 Now Cora is not without punishment though.
00:40 The former Red Sox manager has been banned from Major League Baseball through 2020's playoffs,
00:45 but only for his conduct with the Astros, as Commissioner Rob Manfred said that Cora
00:51 played a significant role in devising Houston's illegal sign stealing.
