00:00When one knows nothing about himself, then the most fundamental aspect of education is

00:17missing.

00:21One is worse than being illiterate, because an illiterate man at least knows that he is

00:32illiterate, but this man who has degrees and qualifications and probably doctorates is

00:48fully literate and hence will never confess that he is uneducated.

01:00So great literacy, but very little education, lots of qualifications, but very little wisdom.

01:15The result of your normal education has been that today the world has come to a point where

01:31in the next 20-30 years, 3 or 4 of your India's major coastal cities are in real danger of

01:50being submerged and because we are close to the independence day of the nation, so this

01:59becomes even more relevant, you would be celebrating the independence day without understanding

02:10how we through our deeds are going to sink 3 of our biggest cities.

02:24You know about the world, science gives you that knowledge, what do you do with the knowledge

02:30that science gives you?

02:32Ultimately, science is not alive.

02:36The mind that is alive does something with that science, is that or is that not so?

02:42Does the atom come and say that I want to give energy?

02:48Does the atom come and say that?

02:50Who wants to derive energy by breaking the atom?

02:56Man.

02:58And who will decide the direction in which that energy goes?

03:03Man.

03:05So you have modern physics that told you about nuclear fission and later nuclear fusion also

03:13and what did the uneducated mind do with that energy?

03:20What technology was that science converted into?

03:26What have we done with that?

03:30What we have done is that today mankind is standing on so much fissile material that

03:40the entire earth can be destroyed hundreds of times.

03:46Now that's utterly stupid, one time is sufficient to destroy everybody but you have so much

03:54of fissile material with you, so much ammunition with you that you can destroy this earth once

04:00then twice and then 500 times again.

04:05That is what this uneducated mind does with all the objects of your normal education.
