00:00The last dance in recent history has shown the NBA to be a league of dynasties, but is
00:05there actually another possibly on the horizon?
00:08For more, I'm joined by our Ben Pickman.
00:10Ben, there's no dynastic team right now.
00:13Could there be one again in the near future?
00:15Yeah, Robin, I think it's pretty tough to say that there will be.
00:19I mean, you look back at the Warriors and the challenges that that dynasty had.
00:23They became only the second team in NBA history to make five consecutive finals.
00:28Now, if you go back to four consecutive finals, only six teams have done that in the history
00:34of the league.
00:35It's a few and far between and specific list.
00:38And so I think the Warriors probably, again, the continuation of this Curry dynasty is
00:42your most likely candidate to be a dynasty again, say, if they get another high level
00:47lottery poker, they continue to retool their roster and say it goes from three NBA finals
00:51wins in five years to four or five NBA titles wins in more like nine years or 10 years,
00:56similar to, say, the Spurs.
00:58The other argument, of course, is LeBron James, right, who seemingly is a one man dynasty
01:02leading both the Cavs and Heat to four consecutive finals each.
01:06And so with Anthony Davis, yeah, maybe the Lakers could be your dynasty of the 2020s.
01:11But with LeBron aging and with so much roster turnover and the league being so talented,
01:15I think it's pretty tough to say that they're going to make three or four or five titles.
01:19Yeah, LeBron's going to have to get that dynasty work in quickly in L.A.
01:23As far as Golden State, they could add, say, a Giannis.
01:26However, I think it's more likely they become a contender than dynastic again.
01:31Ben, appreciate your time, as always.
01:33Thanks a lot for having me.
