00:00I'm Jill Painter-Lopez of Sports Illustrated, joined by Melissa Rowland.
00:11And Melissa, with the NBA's season resumption and what you've seen of the Lakers in the
00:15bubble, do you believe that they will pick up where they left off, which is first place
00:19in the Western Conference and fighting for that NBA title?
00:23What's interesting is we asked Danny Green today if that was the goal.
00:27And he said that that's not the goal.
00:28The goal is for the Lakers to actually be better than they were before.
00:32Obviously, the Lakers were playing prime basketball before the NBA was suspended because of the
00:36COVID-19 pandemic.
00:38They just had huge wins over the Clippers and over Milwaukee.
00:42And this time off has affected everyone equally.
00:45So everybody's going to be a little rusty.
00:47But Danny Green said that the Lakers have one thing going for them, and that's their
00:51chemistry.
00:52They have two superstars in LeBron and in AD.
00:55And he thinks that they'll not only get back to where they need to be, but they'll perhaps
00:59be even better than they were before.
