01:18inflation has an effect on the recovery from the pandemic in Asia Pacific.

01:24The economy is now open, right?

01:27From malls and transportation, there are no restrictions.

01:31But according to Moody's, there is still no big shift

01:35or going back to the old way of spending of Filipinos.

01:40In fact, one of the countries in Asia,

01:44Filipinos are still not going back to the pre-pandemic level of spending on services.

01:50According to an economist,

01:52it's possible that one of the reasons Filipinos are spending less

01:56is the work-from-home set-up of many, even without the pandemic.

02:00The number of people going out has decreased in a given day.

02:04Those massaging, paying for massages,

02:07different modes of transport,

02:10bus, jeep, train, tricycle, etc.

02:14Motor, TBNS, taxi.

02:17So that has decreased.

02:20And of course, when they're outside,

02:33But there is hope for tourism

02:35because foreign tourists are expected to return to the pre-pandemic level.
