00:00 >> Guys, okay, respect each other and respect the rules, okay?
00:04 Touch your man.
00:06 Good luck.
00:08 >> Thank you, sir.
00:09 >> This free fight, you said quite simply,
00:12 this is quality against quality.
00:15 Both of these men at very similar stages
00:18 of their professional career.
00:20 >> Yeah, this is about as a pick 'em fight as you can get.
00:23 I'm very excited for this fight.
00:24 I think these guys are gonna really go for it
00:26 and put on a great show.
00:29 >> Both these guys are very, very tough.
00:31 They've been in with very good opposition.
00:33 Another time we gotta look past the numbers of both guys.
00:36 >> Well, that's the thing, champ.
00:37 You know, this is one of those fights
00:38 and we love to bring you these kind of fights on Pro Box TV.
00:41 Good records, you know, not undefeated, but good records,
00:44 and they're battle-tested records.
00:46 So these are for real records.
00:47 You know, sometimes you get these kind of 15-3, 14-3 guys
00:50 with, you know, sort of spatted up records.
00:52 These guys both have really earned their record.
00:55 You go to boxrec.com and check these guys on boxrec.
00:57 They have fought a murderous row of opposition
00:59 and they still have a good record to speak of,
01:01 despite that.
01:02 >> Flaws is coming off of two upset victories
01:05 over undefeated guys.
01:06 New York Prospects, two guys that I know very, very well.
01:09 Very impressive.
01:10 >> Tucker and Sabayo, right?
01:11 >> Yep, Sabayo and Jahai Tucker.
01:14 >> Both of those eight-round majority decision victories,
01:17 Paulie, with Nicholas Flaws in the pink and purple,
01:20 white and orange trunks for Luke Santamaria.
01:23 >> Yep.
01:24 >> Quick hands there from Flaws.
01:26 Santamaria's only setbacks as a professional
01:29 have been against undefeated fighters,
01:32 one of them very early in his professional career.
01:38 Just his third fight, Paul Kroll,
01:42 a ten-round unanimous decision win over Santamaria,
01:45 and Jesus Ramos Jr., also a ten-rounder
01:50 that went against Luke Santamaria.
01:53 >> Yeah, as a win over former world champion
01:55 Devin Alexander, granted it was a--
01:57 it's his prime Alexander, but a good win there.
01:59 And I believe he beat Mikkel Fox, right?
02:00 >> He did. >> Yeah, beat Mikkel Fox, yep.
02:01 >> Also not an easy guy to deal with, man.
02:03 >> And he gave up seven and a half inches in that fight.
02:06 >> That's one of the reasons Mikkel Fox
02:07 is not an easy guy to deal with.
02:09 >> Tonight, it's 5-9 against 5-9
02:12 as we get things started in our co-main event of the evening.
02:15 >> Mikkel Fox has told it on everybody he fights.
02:17 >> Yeah, there you go.
02:22 >> I heard Floss say in an interview,
02:24 "If I'm fighting somebody better than me,
02:26 I have to outwork them."
02:27 And he's got a great gas tank.
02:28 He's a guy-- if you look at his trunks,
02:30 you can tell he likes to have fun.
02:31 And when he fights, he actually fights like that.
02:33 He likes to have fun in there.
02:34 He's a gas tank guy, an endurance guy.
02:36 He throws a lot of punches.
02:38 Ooh, nice counter.
02:39 >> Fought there by Santamaria.
02:41 See, Santamaria's a position guy.
02:43 Floss is that fun guy who tries to create
02:45 those different angles, right, Santamaria?
02:47 So hold that position.
02:48 Now he turns southpaw, tries to make you pay
02:50 for an overcommitment or maybe reaching in or whatnot.
02:55 Tried to go for the counter there, came up short.
02:57 Floss countered the counter.
02:58 >> Yeah, Floss has very quick hands on the inside.
03:00 He gets to the target.
03:01 Not a huge puncher, but he gets those quick hands
03:03 in there and exchanges.
03:06 >> Nicholas Floss talked about being re-energized
03:14 and definitely having his confidence boosted
03:17 with those wins that you guys just talked about.
03:20 Back-to-back victories over unbeaten fighters,
03:23 and that was coming off the stoppage in the first round.
03:27 Pochecka right on cue.
03:30 One, two, well-timed.
03:32 Santamaria walked right into it.
03:35 >> Those quick hands on the inside, man.
03:37 Very, very dangerous.
03:38 Hit you with a shot you don't see.
03:41 >> Talk about what happened to him in the first,
03:44 and he throws the damage out against Santamaria
03:47 in our opening round.
03:49 [cheers and applause]
03:52 >> No rush.
04:01 [chatter]
04:04 >> I'm not yet, my friend.
04:13 [chatter]
04:16 [whistle blows]
04:24 >> Well, Floss made me eat my words a little bit on this one.
04:37 I said he wasn't a big puncher,
04:38 but really, if you land a shot like that,
04:40 timing in the middle, you don't have to be a big puncher.
04:42 >> Yeah, yeah, and that's what it was.
04:44 Look at Santamaria's steps in.
04:45 Watch, he steps right into it.
04:46 That's the thing.
04:47 Santamaria was looking for his own right hand
04:48 and never saw the right hand that Floss was throwing.
04:52 >> So a knockdown scored in round number one
04:55 for a Lebanon 2, Nicholas Floss.
04:58 Floss in the pink and purple.
05:00 Luke Santamaria...
05:03 is in the white and orange trunks.
05:07 Mom from Mexico, father from Garden Grove, California,
05:11 where Luke still lives and trains today.
05:16 Good combination, quick hands from Nico Nicholas Floss.
05:20 >> Floss came out confident.
05:24 He's supremely confident now.
05:26 He knows he can hurt his man.
05:27 He put him down in the first round.
05:28 Had a good round even before that.
05:31 Getting right back to work here in round two.
05:33 >> Yeah, yeah, fights off that rhythm.
05:34 He's getting into a rhythm,
05:35 and his rhythm is his confidence.
05:37 Santamaria, again, he's a position guy.
05:39 He looks to earn that position.
05:40 He's a bit more flat-footed.
05:44 >> Floss, very tricky guy on the inside.
05:45 Let's those hands go.
05:46 I said he's an endurance guy.
05:47 He throws a lot of punches,
05:49 but he keeps him real short on the inside.
05:50 Doesn't load up.
05:53 >> Chris, I watched some of Santamaria's fight
05:55 as we prepped for tonight,
05:56 and more than once commentators talked about
06:00 how he can be very tricky.
06:02 >> Yeah, I mean, he's a dog.
06:03 He's in there, and we've talked about the competition
06:05 that both these guys have fought.
06:06 Santamaria's fought really, really high-level guys.
06:09 Tough guys, too, and has been in there
06:11 and pulled out wins in a lot of those big fights.
06:13 >> I'll tell you what, you can see from Floss's style,
06:15 he's a rhythmic guy, and that rhythm
06:16 sometimes breaks your own position a lot,
06:18 and that's where Santamaria makes himself dangerous.
06:21 All that tricky rhythm that Floss has,
06:23 and Santamaria, aside from switching stances,
06:26 holds his position-- even in the southpaw stance,
06:28 he holds his position very well.
06:29 So he remains dangerous.
06:30 So Floss has to remain supremely focused
06:33 despite being in that rhythm
06:34 and creating those opportunities,
06:35 because Santamaria, see, he doesn't break his position.
06:37 He's looking to keep his position.
06:38 So that he can counter and fire back.
06:40 He can't match Floss with physical talent
06:42 and athleticism.
06:43 What he does try to match him is timing,
06:45 and you can't have timing without proper positioning.
06:48 So that's why Santamaria's bread and butter
06:49 is his positioning.
06:50 Floss is more his athleticism.
06:52 >> And honestly, I mean, if you're fighting a guy like Floss,
06:54 that is the way to beat a guy like that.
06:55 You gotta counter in between those holes
06:57 while you're punching, and you gotta have more power,
06:59 and your stance is gonna matter there.
07:01 >> Santamaria flowing back and forth.
07:04 Good combination.
07:05 Four or five punches there.
07:07 Final minute of round number two.
07:09 Our co-main event's scheduled for ten rounds.
07:12 Great stuff back and forth between these two guys.
07:14 >> Yeah, we knew this would be a good fight, guys.
07:18 You know, we let the fans at home know as well.
07:22 >> Yeah. >> These guys--
07:24 the records of these guys are both battle-tested,
07:25 and you can kind of see the skill sets
07:28 that are inside the ring right now
07:30 kind of matching up against one another.
07:32 >> Both turned professional in 2015.
07:35 Santamaria, at age 17, was still in high school
07:40 when he made his pro debut.
07:44 That's more common now with amateurs
07:45 that we're moving the heavyweight to elite level big time.
07:48 [cheers and applause]
07:51 [speaking Spanish]
07:58 [dramatic music]
08:01
08:08 [whistle blows]
08:10
08:17
08:24 >> Eric, here.
08:25 [speaking Spanish]
08:28 [whistle blows]
08:30 [speaking Spanish]
08:33 [whistle blows]
08:35 [speaking Spanish]
08:38 [speaking Spanish]
08:42 >> Good job.
08:43 >> Advice from both corners.
08:46 Knocked down in round number one,
08:47 scored by Nicolas Floz.
08:49 Round number three.
08:51 Luke Santamaria in the white and orange,
08:53 pink and purple for Nico, the Puerto Rican.
08:57 Nicolas Floz.
08:59 Saw a little switch of stance back and forth.
09:03 Good combination by Floz here early in round three.
09:07 [speaking Spanish]
09:10 >> Nice precision there from Floz,
09:23 picking his punches very well.
09:25 >> That uppercut, he threw a step in back again.
09:28 That athleticism.
09:29 >> Here comes Santamaria.
09:31 Good move there from Floz.
09:33 Underhook, spin, put him in the corner.
09:36 >> Little wrestling in there.
09:39 >> Luke Santamaria on his loss to 18-0.
09:44 Jesus Ramos Jr. said he should have thrown more against Ramos.
09:49 Let's see if he tries to stay very busy here,
09:52 especially being the victim of a first-round knockdown.
09:55 >> As he opens up with the hook
09:57 and follows up with the right hand.
09:59 Floz, as you guys mentioned, has a lot of fun out there,
10:11 energized by his last two victories,
10:13 and of course, a good start to this fight on Pro Box TV.
10:18 >> Yeah, you can see his rhythm.
10:19 He changes distances.
10:21 Santamaria just missed that counter right hand.
10:23 He changes distances subtly, uses some throwaway punches
10:26 and set up some power shots,
10:28 mixes his attack upstairs and downstairs.
10:30 And again, a lot of those throwaway punches
10:32 are also to try to get Santamaria out of position.
10:34 Who doesn't oblige, by the way?
10:35 Santamaria keeps his positioning
10:37 and remains dangerous himself
10:39 and sometimes lands some good counters on his own.
10:41 >> Smile on the face of Miko "Nicholas" Floz.
10:46 Back and forth from Southpaw,
10:47 the orthodox good body shot from Santamaria.
10:50 >> Very good body shot.
10:51 Well-placed, good timing.
10:52 That's what you gotta do with a guy like Floz,
10:54 who moves, throws so many punches.
10:56 Touch him downstairs, put some water in the basement,
10:59 as our friend Teddy Atlas used to say.
11:01 Get those legs to slow down,
11:02 get that punch output to go down.
11:06 >> "Kaleidzic" Embajada.
11:08 Still to come in our main event.
11:10 >> That's how they sung the Titanic,
11:11 too much water in the basement.
11:12 >> Too much water in the basement.
11:14 >> That was a nice throw.
11:16 >> Santamaria would like to sink Floz tonight.
11:20 >> And Paulie's got happy Gilmore.
11:22 >> Ooh! >> Titanic.
11:24 >> Beautiful combination there from Floz.
11:26 >> This is like going back to Cisco and Ebert right now,
11:29 Chris, with Paulie tonight.
11:30 >> Oh, with this guy, it's every day with this guy,
11:31 with the movie, the movie reference.
11:32 >> That's true.
11:33 This fight is turning into a movie.
11:35 Good back and forth.
11:36 A plot line is set for this movie,
11:38 this fight here as well.
11:39 >> Bob, the way Floz is smiling,
11:41 this might be a comedy movie,
11:42 the way that he's acting.
11:44 He's winking in there, smiling.
11:46 >> Stop!
11:49 >> Having fun.
11:51 Floz's family, Dominican,
12:11 he was born and raised in Puerto Rico.
12:14 [crowd cheering]
12:17 >> If you land a good combination,
12:26 you might as well admire your work.
12:28 Here's the combo, guys.
12:29 >> Look at that feint with the jab
12:30 and then shot that right uppercut.
12:31 He got the reaction he wanted with the feint.
12:34 See, Santamaria drops down,
12:36 and then he ends up in the path of that uppercut.
12:38 >> And that's something only a guy with fast hands can do.
12:40 He doubled his rear hand.
12:42 >> Rear uppercut right to the straight right hand.
12:44 Nice stuff there from Floz,
12:46 and you see him smile, so he's having fun.
12:49 >> With the Nico mouthpiece,
12:50 which I would guess did not come from Models.
12:54 And if you haven't been with us on Wednesday nights,
12:56 we get away from shields a little bit once in a while.
13:01 Aging ourselves.
13:02 Mike Colbert, Paulie Molinaggi,
13:04 Chris Algieri, Komane Event,
13:06 Luke Santamarina is in the white and orange trunks,
13:10 pink and purple for Nicholas Floz.
13:14 Just one fight last year, Chris, for Santamaria.
13:17 >> Yeah, Santamaria started this round very smart,
13:19 came out, landed a couple good right hands upstairs
13:21 and a good body shot, but here comes Floz, man.
13:23 Once he finds that rhythm, he's a tough guy to deal with.
13:27 >> Dad got him started in boxing more so than anything.
13:39 >> The Santamaria family's next door neighbor
13:41 was a boxing coach.
13:44 And Luke told us he didn't play any other sports,
13:46 just focused on the sweet science.
13:50 Lead left hook.
13:51 Good answer by Nicholas Floz.
13:53 >> I'm feeling a shift here from Santamaria.
13:55 You know, he was-- you had mentioned
13:57 that he needed to punch more in that fight against Ramos,
13:59 and he's coming out in this round throwing more hands.
14:01 Listen, he's got a guy in front of him
14:02 who's throwing a lot of punches.
14:03 A lot of times it can be hard to get off
14:05 when you got a guy who's busy like that.
14:07 Might as well-- if you're gonna get hit,
14:08 you might as well get hit and hit him back as well.
14:09 So you see Santamaria throwing a lot more punches this round.
14:11 >> And also Floz-- and also Floz has made himself
14:14 more available, less movement on the part of Floz.
14:16 Maybe he's tiring a little bit, less-- less in the rhythm.
14:19 You know, he was kind of changing distance
14:21 back and forth before.
14:22 Now he's kind of languishing in there.
14:24 And Santamaria has-- you know,
14:25 that's the wheelhouse of Santamaria.
14:26 He wants to be able to trade that good shot there
14:28 for Santamaria from the southpaw stance.
14:29 >> I was gonna say, it could be those body shots
14:31 because Santamaria has been landing some really tricky,
14:33 nice, hard left hook.
14:34 Oh, big right hand over the top.
14:36 And a left hook.
14:38 >> Floz again with a big right hand.
14:41 [cheers and applause]
14:43 Still a lot of time on the clock here in round four.
14:46 >> And beautiful punch selection from Floz.
14:49 >> Floz knocked down Santamaria in round number one.
14:56 Santamaria just very discreetly switches that stance
15:02 from orthodox to southpaw in tight.
15:06 And walks right back to the other side.
15:08 Oh, huge uppercut.
15:13 >> Well timed.
15:15 >> And Floz was losing the round earlier.
15:17 Looks like he's getting it back now.
15:20 >> Coming off those back-to-back wins over unbeaten fighters
15:23 that you guys talked about earlier,
15:26 Floz is feeling it.
15:27 >> Yeah, man, he's really sitting down
15:29 on these punches here.
15:30 >> Yeah, I tell you, Santamaria wanted Floz
15:31 to stay in still so he could fight with him,
15:33 but I don't know if that was--
15:35 I don't know if he wants to watch that.
15:39 >> Pumping the jab from the southpaw stance,
15:42 but it's Floz again with that uppercut.
15:44 [bell ringing]
15:48 [cheers and applause]
15:51 >> Good two-way action that last round.
16:04 There's that right hand over the top of Santamaria's jab
16:06 and the right hand, and then the one-two followed.
16:08 This was a good sequence here by Floz.
16:10 As Santamaria backed up, this was later in that same sequence.
16:13 Santamaria backed up, got hit with a hook,
16:14 kept backing up, Floz throwing that right hand.
16:16 You know, Jim, you mentioned that Floz
16:18 doesn't have a lot of power.
16:19 I think now Santamaria kind of warmed up to the power,
16:21 so it didn't really affect him as much,
16:22 but it had him backing up a lot.
16:25 >> I really like the eyes of Floz.
16:26 He's keeping them on his opponent.
16:28 He's very focusing, calm in the heat of the action.
16:30 That's why he's able to pick such good punches.
16:31 >> And that's exactly the great point, too,
16:33 because Santamaria changes the target,
16:35 but Floz adjusts to the change of target.
16:39 >> Yeah, Floz's awareness is impressive tonight.
16:41 >> Still to come, our main event of the evening,
16:44 a light heavyweight matchup for the WBA
16:46 continental North America light heavyweight title,
16:50 Radovoi Kalijic and Sullivan Bahata.
16:53 >> And it got me thinking now, champ.
16:54 You mentioned the positioning of Santamaria,
16:57 but you got to think about the positioning of Floz, too.
16:59 It's very different, but he's always in position to punch,
17:01 which is why he's getting the better of the inside exchanges.
17:03 >> Yeah, and the thing was, before,
17:05 when he was doing those little head steps like right there,
17:07 he's still in position to punch when he changes his feet.
17:10 But now he's actually staying in the pocket a lot of times
17:12 and still keeping that punch position, which is rare.
17:14 Usually you're pretty good at one or the other.
17:17 >> Also impressive from Floz, you know,
17:19 a couple fights ago he was knocked out in one round
17:20 by Boca Chico, who we've had on our air,
17:23 and he seems very comfortable with the punches coming by him.
17:25 He's not shying away from anything.
17:27 He is fully recovered from that KO.
17:30 >> He talked about that at length, Paulie and Chris,
17:33 before he fought on Pro Box TV from San Juan, Puerto Rico.
17:37 He just said, you know, he was hurt a bit, a bit careless,
17:39 but more than anything, he went back to the basics.
17:42 He looked to fix every facet.
17:45 He said from the lab to the ring.
17:47 Now the pressure is to utilize that new polish skill set
17:52 in live fire, and so far he's two for two,
17:55 looking to make it three straight
17:57 since being finished by Boca Chica in round number one.
18:01 >> And you can see it.
18:02 When he is on defense, he has a very active guard,
18:04 keeping those hands moving, getting them back in position,
18:07 all while throwing and moving.
18:08 >> Yeah, you get knocked out in one round by a guy like that,
18:11 you end up in an opponent's bill when you become an opponent.
18:14 That's where he went, and he knocked off two undefeated guys.
18:16 >> Right. Yeah, he got called in to be the opponent,
18:19 and now he's here on Pro Box TV.
18:23 >> 13-0 and 10-0, no longer with O's,
18:25 thanks to Nicholas Flaws.
18:27 Again, looking for that uppercut,
18:32 and Santa Maria seamless from orthodox to southpaw in tight.
18:37 >> I think this fight's going to get very interesting
18:39 in the second half.
18:42 >> Yeah, Santa Maria's getting a little closer this round, guys.
18:44 >> Yep.
18:45 >> Well, it's kind of slowing down.
18:47 Good shots there from both guys.
18:49 >> That's the thing about fast guys,
18:50 especially when they start fast.
18:51 A lot of times, once that speed starts to go down,
18:54 that gas tank goes down a little bit.
18:55 You got a guy like Santa Maria who comes on late.
18:58 >> Yeah, and Santa Maria's--
19:00 if you start to slow down, Santa Maria's positioning,
19:02 you know, can benefit him.
19:04 >> In the final minute of another very busy round
19:08 here in our co-main event.
19:10 >> Speed's a funny thing.
19:11 You're either just fast enough or not fast enough,
19:13 and if you start to slow down,
19:16 this fight can turn into a real competitive fight.
19:19 >> 30 seconds on the clock.
19:22 Right hand thrown by Nicholas Floss.
19:25 Does have fun in there.
19:31 And his fight from Puerto Rico was on Pro Box TV,
19:37 so this is the second time we've had Nico here on Pro Box TV.
19:42 Action packed into the round.
19:45 >> Better round for Santa Maria.
19:47 [bell ringing]
19:49 [crowd cheering]

20:16 [crowd chatter]
20:19 [crowd chatter]
20:22 [crowd chatter]
20:25 >> Good corner of Santa Maria.
20:29 >> Santa Maria got a little closer that round.
20:31 You know, it's gonna be interesting
20:32 in the second half of the fight now, guys.
20:34 >> Yeah, I think it was the best round of the fight
20:35 for Santa Maria.
20:38 Seems like a little bit of a momentum shift.
20:39 That said, round four, he started to throw more punches.
20:41 Round five, he had a much better round.
20:43 We're gonna see how this pans out these next few rounds.
20:45 >> Can Floss maintain that rhythm
20:47 in the second half of the fight?
20:49 >> His last two fights were eight rounders.
20:52 Both went the distance.
20:56 Both men with just one fight in 2023.
20:59 Sixth rounder for Santa Maria that went the distance.
21:03 >> The way these guys are exchanging, really,
21:05 they're both one punch away from really turning the tide.
21:10 Floss, though, does have that cushion
21:13 of the knockdown in round one,
21:16 for those of you scoring at home.
21:18 Ooh, good right hand from--
21:19 Oh!
21:20 >> Walked into it again.
21:22 Bad athleticism.
21:23 >> Yeah.
21:25 >> That ability to change angles, change in and out,
21:27 that's impressive.
21:28 >> Great point, champ, but he walked him into it again.
21:31 And this time, the knockdown affecting Santa Maria
21:33 a little more.
21:34 He's trying to walk that off.
21:35 After the first round knockdown, he's still smiling.
21:37 Also, another problem, you've got a lot of time.
21:39 Floss just snapped his head back again.
21:42 >> And Floss just picking perfect punches.
21:44 Body.
21:45 >> Looking to finish it right here, right now.
21:47 >> Good body shots.
21:49 [crowd shouting]
21:52 >> Floss with the knockdown in one.
21:54 >> Oh, that liver shot.
21:56 >> And the second one here in the sixth.
21:58 >> Was that a body shot?
21:59 >> That was liver shot.
22:00 That was bad.
22:01 >> It is all over!
22:02 Nicholas Floss!
22:05 Defeats Luke Santa Maria in our Comanee Bay.
22:10 >> Very, very impressive.
22:11 Wow.
22:12 [crowd shouting]
22:14 >> There was no count.
22:15 Did he just wave it off?
22:16 >> I think the corner stopped.
22:17 I think the corner stepped in.
22:21 [crowd applauding]
22:24 >> Wow, very, very impressive.
22:26 >> You see the final salvo.
22:27 There's that swinging jab.
22:29 You see Santa Maria's flying in.
22:30 Walks right into it right here.
22:31 And that's the thing about Floss.
22:32 So athletic, he looks like he's just bailing out.
22:34 And instead, watch.
22:35 He kind of looks like he's bailed.
22:36 That was a body shot.
22:37 >> That was the end of the fight.
22:38 >> That was a liver shot in the head.
22:41 [crowd shouting]
22:46 >> You were right, champ.
22:47 The corner came in.
22:49 >> That was amazing because they didn't see that body shot
22:51 from the angle we saw it from.
22:52 That thing was brutal.
22:53 But the corner had seen enough.
22:55 >> Even the way that right hand got set up
22:57 on the first knockdown of the round.
22:58 He kind of backs up.
22:59 He looks like he's bailing.
23:01 And that right hand shoots.
23:02 The ability to throw that right hand
23:04 and throw it hard enough to drop him, too.
23:06 I mean, great that I know Santa Maria walked into it.
23:07 But that was impressive as well.
23:09 >> Yeah, that ability to pull in
23:12 and then come back with powers.
23:13 That's a super athletic move.
23:16 That change of direction.
23:17 They talk about that in other sports.
23:19 Basketball, it's a really important thing to have.
23:21 Change of direction.
23:22 It's really important to have in boxing, too.
23:23 And Floss has it.
23:24 >> Well, you know what?
23:25 This is a sport.
23:26 Your athleticism can't translate
23:27 if you know how to make it translate.
23:29 >> You don't have to be a good athlete to be a boxer.
23:31 But it certainly helps.
23:32 It certainly helps.
23:34 >> And Floss is proving that tonight.
23:37 >> Super, super impressive.
23:39 Santa Maria has been in tough with so many guys
23:41 to beat him in that way.
23:44 >> Floss is a real-- he's a prospect now.
23:48 He goes from opponent to prospect.
23:50 Amazing.
23:51 >> Three straight big wins in this one.
23:55 A big finish.
23:57 >> That was the first round, 1-2.
23:59 Nice shot, 1-2.
24:00 And again, Santa Maria, the shots you don't see coming.
24:03 Santa Maria was throwing his own right hand.
24:05 You see that?
24:06 Never sees the right hand coming.
24:08 And Floss has a real keen ability to hit you in shots
24:10 you don't see coming.
24:11 Really sneaky shots.
24:12 Speed and sneaky angles.
24:14 >> And you saw Santa Maria trying to come back.
24:16 There it is again, champ.
24:17 The change of angles.
24:19 Athleticism, having fun.
24:21 >> And just the rhythm.
24:22 The head movement, the side to side.
24:24 And that's the thing.
24:25 He punches off of his defense, off of his movement.
24:27 And his conditioning is fantastic.
24:30 Look at these.
24:32 >> And this is the end, that thing where he watches.
24:36 And it looked like he's going.
24:38 That shot comes out of nowhere.
24:39 >> It tricked the cameraman.
24:41 The cameraman literally got tricked on that.
24:43 He couldn't keep up.
24:44 >> And then the final shot.
24:46 Let's look at his body shot.
24:48 >> Oh, man.
24:49 >> Santa Maria is like, I can't get away from it.
24:51 Head shots, body shots, I can't get away from it.
24:53 >> And fans, the way you hear us groaning, it's because we know
24:56 what those kind of punches feel like.
24:59 >> Nicholas Floss once weighed 230 pounds.
25:04 >> Yeah, he did, Chris.
25:06 >> And he's impressive tonight.
25:08 Jim Sorensen to make it official.
25:10 [bell ringing]
25:12 >> Ladies and gentlemen, at 1 minute 12 seconds,
25:17 into the sixth round, the red corner asked referee
25:21 Mossimo Montanini to stop this fight for your winner
25:26 by technical knockout, Nicholas "Niko" Floss!
25:36 >> The first finish since January 31st of 2020.
25:42 First in over four years.
