00:16 Alright, Usec, let's start with the mandatory heat safety protocols
00:20 for workers who are being promoted as mandatory.
00:23 What is the purpose of this?
00:25 Well, we have mandatory occupational safety and health standards
00:29 that we are being enforced under our existing department order
00:33 and our law, Republic Act 11058,
00:37 it is stated there what needs to be done in the work.
00:41 First, there will be a risk assessment.
00:44 Based on the result of the risk assessment,
00:47 we will know what are the occupational safety and health standards.
00:51 But regardless of the nature of the job, the place of the work,
00:54 we always remind, based on the law,
00:59 to wear PPE.
01:01 Second, proper hydration.
01:03 Third, proper ventilation.
01:06 Fourth, there will be breaks, especially the short breaks.
01:12 We also have what we call meal breaks.
01:14 These are the times when our workers can rest
01:18 in their work to avoid or to avoid the heat.

04:25 We want to celebrate the golden anniversary of the Labor Code of the Philippines.

04:35 And part of the celebration is to give an award to outstanding workers of the Philippines.
