00:00 What was your dance background and did you help with any of the choreography at all?
00:03 Oh no, I didn't help with the choreography. We had an amazing choreography team
00:07 and they really did a great job of like making something that felt super authentic
00:12 to what a boy band would do. My dance background comes from performing on stage behind artists,
00:17 so it was really interesting to then step onto kind of the other side instead,
00:21 be the artist and be the one holding the mic and carrying the tune.
00:25 Yeah. I know a lot of people have, you know, made comparisons for August Moon and also comparing it
00:32 to One Direction, but was there any other boy bands or boy band members that you look to for
00:37 inspiration? I really wanted to create something that felt authentic and unique to myself, so
00:42 I really wanted to just look at what do I bring to the table and how would I live this out if I
00:48 was someone who got picked to be in a boy band? Like what would that experience look like on my
00:52 body, on my voice, like what would that look like for me? And I think that we really did that. I
00:56 think we created something that's unique, like August Moon is not like a knockoff of anything
01:00 else. August Moon is August Moon. Yeah. It's OG content. Yeah, I know. I love that. Well,
01:06 was there any version of August Moon for you? I know a lot of, like we said, a lot of moonheads
01:10 in the house. Who was that for you? Who was an artist or a band that you absolutely obsessed
01:14 over growing up? Well, not growing up, but BTS is so cool. They are so, so cool. And so I do love
01:23 BTS and I love seeing like how those boys are just performers, like just really strong performers. So
01:30 BTS, if you're watching, yeah. If you're watching, then... I'll come and watch their show anytime.
01:36 Well, they're like the ultimate like triple threat and you can't look away when you're watching them.
01:40 So talented. So, so talented. And that's what I hope. I hope we brought that to the stage. Yeah.
01:45 Well, are we going to get any more music? Are you going to get in the recording booth? What's
01:49 next for August Moon? Right now, this movie is like all I'm looking forward to. So like if you
01:54 are out there watching this, like come see the movie, enjoy the music, stream it and just enjoy.
01:59 It's one of those movies that like I feel like the world really kind of needs right now. It's
02:02 just, it's feel good. You walk out of the theater feeling like life is possible again. And that,
02:08 that's a feeling that I think was really missing in the cinema for a while. So
02:11 I'm happy to, I'm happy to share this piece with the world. Absolutely. And Coachella 2025, right?
02:16 Ah, Coachella 2025. Headlining. Let's do it. Let's do it.
02:20 Let's do it.
