00:00 In the protest, various groups passed the unita on the day of the protest.

00:05 The President ordered the review of the minimum wage rate.

00:09 Ivan Mayrina has a report.

00:11 The time of the protest was hot with the police and the rallies that ended at Callao Avenue in Manila.

00:19 The protesters tried to escape the police barricades.

00:24 The police poured water on them.

00:28 The protesters who were blocking Rojas Boulevard were forced to go to the US Embassy.

00:34 The group was stopped from performing the exercises.

00:38 Six people were arrested for disobedience to the authority, resisting arrest, alarmist scandal and vandalism.

00:49 They were forced to go to the US Embassy. This is not included in the Freedom Park of Manila.

00:54 Various labor groups in Bendiola also held a program.

00:57 They shouted, "150 pesos increase in wages across the board, increase in minimum wage and end of contractualization."

01:09 If they want to increase the wages, they can do it. If they want to lower the price, they can do it.

01:15 The cost of living of workers in various regions is almost the same.

01:20 At present, in BARM, the lowest daily minimum wage in the country is only P361.

01:30 President Bongbong Marcos ordered the wage board to initiate a timely review of the minimum wage rates in their respective regions

01:40 with due consideration to the impact of inflation amongst others within 60 days prior to the anniversary of their latest wage order.

01:53 The Senate approved the 150 pesos legislated wage hike, but it was also brought to the House of Representatives.

01:59 The additional wage was approved by the National Anti-Poverty Commission.

02:02 The additional wage hike is important. The increase of the minimum wage is also serious.

02:11 The Employers Confederation of the Philippines, or ECOP, has already announced that the additional wage hike can result in the removal of jobs,

02:19 increase in the price of goods or closing of small businesses.

02:24 More than 90 percent of our existing enterprises are in the category of micro, small and medium enterprises.

02:32 So in our view of the needs of workers, we balance it with the capacity or ability of the employers.
