00:003, 2, and 1, there we have it ladies and gentlemen, Executive MRO Services Malaysia's new world
00:22class MRO facility.
00:25I'm very proud of what we see today, a world class MRO facility here in Subang.
00:32And that is a big testimony of what we can do here in Subang Airport.
00:38The regeneration of Subang Airport is not just about airlines.
00:42It is about positioning Malaysia as a centre for MRO and aerospace in the region and across
00:50all segments of the aviation industry.
00:52When people think about aviation, they think about airlines.
00:57But there is so much more to the aviation industry.
01:00To optimise the full potential for the business aviation industry, the Malaysian Cabinet principally
01:05approved the Subang Airport Regeneration Plan, or SARP, on 2nd February 2023.
01:13Essentially, the plan will position Subang Airport as a city and regional airport for
01:19Greater Kuala Lumpur, the development of business aviation and a complete aerospace
01:25ecosystem.
01:26I was informed that SARP will contribute Rp216 billion gross output, Rp93.7 billion value
01:36added with 8,000 high value and highly skilled jobs over a 25 year period.
01:42This economic enabler aligns with the aspiration of Malaysian Aerospace Industry Group in 2030
01:49to make Malaysia as the largest aerospace industry in Southeast Asia.
01:54Today's official opening of Executive Jet, an internationally certified MRO facility,
02:00reinforces Malaysia's position as a regional centre for MRO and highlights the importance
02:07of Asia as a growing business aviation market.
02:12Being the largest business aviation MRO facility in Malaysia, with a workforce that we estimate
02:17will reach 100 by the year end, we formed a strong relationship with tertiary institutions
02:23in Malaysia to encourage young people to join our company.
02:28The youth of Malaysia will be the future of our business and we are doing everything possible
02:32to make this a reality.
02:33Women account for approximately a third of our workforce in Malaysia, including three
02:38aircraft engineers, which we hope to add to in due course.
02:42This is a strategic initiative driven by our shareholders DASO, which we embrace fully.
02:48Malaysia has become a regional centre for MRO services and the government has shown
02:53great foresight in developing Sabang Airport to cater to business aviation, a segment of
02:59the aviation industry that is significant and creates high value employment.
