00:00Hey Harper's Bazaar, I'm Shania Twain. Are you ready to go to bed with me?
00:08So my nighttime bed routine is all about me.
00:14I love to go to bed with a fresh clean face. That's my way of getting the day off me.
00:19I would describe my skin as combination skin.
00:24I have the classic t-zone oily area. Now that I'm in menopause, I don't get the flaky skin.
00:30I don't get the breakouts.
00:37First thing
00:39is olive oil. Why do I use olive oil? You know, I've just learned that oil really does anything oil-based does break down the makeup and
00:47flushes the pores out. So every hotel
00:51with a kitchen has olive oil. So it just makes it so super easy.
00:55I just order up a little bit of olive oil and I'm off.
00:58Let me put my hair up first because that's gonna get in the way as I show you things and I don't want that.
01:03So yeah, I guess I should have started with that. First thing I do is get my hair out of my face.
01:07Make sure I've got nothing in my bangs in there. Okay.
01:13So
01:15first thing I put olive oil and sugar in the palm of my hand.
01:20And
01:25then I pour, it's quite a bit of sugar.
01:27I don't know if you can see how much sugar I've got there.
01:30And then
01:32just a couple drops of olive oil.
01:37And I just mix that in on my hand till I
01:47can just start rubbing it in.
01:50So I don't use a makeup remover per se. I really just
01:56combine the olive oil and the sugar and
02:02I don't rub it in hard up here guys. I'm just like softly
02:10doing this.
02:12I can use a little up here too. I'll get to my eyeshadow after but I
02:17don't want to get the sugar in my eyes.
02:18So now what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna take a cloth and I like to use hot,
02:23pretty hot water, as hot as I can stand it.
02:26So I
02:28like wiping it off like this instead of splashing it off because it's all part of the exfoliation and I'm just gentle about it.
02:34I would say I started the olive oil thing when I used to work in the bush as a teenager.
02:38When you're working outside in June, you can't wear anything that's fragrant. No deodorant, no shampoo,
02:45nothing, nothing that has a fragrance or else you'll get eaten alive by the black flies.
02:50Literally.
02:51Right, so now I have no more makeup on which is awesome.
02:56And I just get under here and again a bit of olive oil is the best way to get in there.
03:05My skin feels, even without moisturizer, feels so good.
03:11But I'm still gonna moisturize. So what I do first,
03:15okay, so it's anti-aging serum. It's hydrating and
03:20pumps things up. I get a bit of this,
03:23okay.
03:26I put it right on my fingers.
03:31Get it into those 100% under eye area. I also like it
03:36wherever I'm getting the fine lines.
03:38Fine lines.
03:40These ones, these ones
03:42and here.
03:43Okay, so the Rationale
03:46night cream.
03:48It's what I put on last.
03:50I use my fingers. They say you're not supposed to. I'm a little bit of a wild child.
03:57All right. Now,
04:00it just goes on like, I like to get into my ears too because like
04:05ears get dry and wrinkly too.
04:07It's nice to feel good without makeup on because I don't
04:12do anything else to my skin.
04:16Maybe I should.
04:20But right now I'm just au naturel. So that's my
04:24nighttime bed routine. I like to keep it simple. Maybe the next time I see you is in Las Vegas.
04:30I'll be doing my residency starting in May. So
04:34see you there.
04:36Bye.
04:54Bye.
