00:00 [crowd cheering]
00:03 So, Zachary Carney Mancilla
00:05 has a strong contingent of faithful supporters with him.
00:09 Going up against the other Argentine Zurdito,
00:11 Alexis Rearty, who's essentially a 500 fighter now.
00:14 Eight wins, eight losses, and one draw.
00:17 Here's the first round here
00:19 from the Cuoreum Cordoba Hotel in Cordoba, Argentina.
00:22 Ladies and gentlemen, thank you very much for joining us here.
00:25 Jorge D. Metellus alongside Chris Algieri.
00:28 Garcia coming out in the white and green trunks
00:31 and the red gloves,
00:33 and Rearty in the solid black trunks with the yellow gloves.
00:37 Scheduled six rounds in the super featherweight division,
00:41 130 pounds.
00:44 And both fighters, obviously, the first 30 seconds or so
00:47 are gonna be a bit of a filling out period here.
00:51 Rearty, nicknamed Zurrito,
00:53 little lefty, comes out southpaw.
00:56 A little surprise there.
00:58 Mancilla looking to take control of the center of the ring.
01:05 Has his southpaw opponent on the outside.
01:08 Looking for openings.
01:10 Last fight for Mancilla, the fighter in white and green,
01:13 is March 20, 2021.
01:16 So it's been a while, over two years
01:17 since he's been in the ring.
01:18 That was at super bantamweight at 122.
01:21 It was a split decision loss
01:23 against Hector De Souza in 10 rounds.
01:25 He was knocked down twice in the second round.
01:27 So Mancilla trying to bounce back
01:29 from a disappointing result his last time in the ring.
01:32 Meanwhile, Rearty, a bit more busy.
01:35 His last fight back in May of 2023 at 126,
01:39 unanimous decision over Christian Blanco.
01:42 That was a six-round fight.
01:44 - That's a great point, George,
01:46 about Mancilla being out of the ring.
01:47 He does look tentative.
01:49 I was thinking that initially that he's very tentative.
01:52 He hasn't thrown a lot of punches yet.
01:54 He's not sure of what he wants to do in there.
01:56 Having a southpaw in front of you
01:57 can make you feel that way sometimes,
01:58 especially one who's been active when you haven't.
02:01 - Mancilla, sure, maybe not used to fighting southpaw.
02:06 So this is something that he has to figure out,
02:08 even with the video study and everything,
02:10 still has to kind of figure it out in the ring.
02:13 Good little combination there by Zurdito.
02:17 Mancilla, the native of Cordoba,
02:21 so fighting in his hometown.
02:23 Rearte, the native of La Rioja,
02:26 who, if I remember correctly,
02:27 La Rioja is known for its wines.
02:29 If I'm not 100% sure,
02:31 might someone have to correct me on that.
02:34 As Rearte tries to counter with the right.
02:39 - And Rearte, even though he has a southpaw,
02:42 he is circling the wrong direction.
02:43 He's circling into the power hand of Mancilla,
02:46 which is moving into that left side,
02:48 which generally when you're a southpaw,
02:51 you want to do that.
02:52 You want to move outside the lead foot of your opponent.
02:54 Keep your foot on the outside, keep sliding that way.
02:56 Move away from the power hand, the rear hand.
02:59 Rearte, quite a few times this round
03:01 is going the opposite direction.
03:03 - Yeah, Rearte, eight wins, three by knockout.
03:06 Looking to improve his record past 500,
03:11 for lack of a better term.
03:12 Under 10 seconds left here in this first half.
03:15 Good exchange by those two.
03:17 First round, a bit of a filling out process
03:21 between these two fighters, Mancilla and Rearte.
03:25 And we'd like to remind you that the best
03:28 live action fights are here on proboxtv.com.
03:31 Wednesday, September 6th, the main event.
03:35 William Foster III, undefeated,
03:38 going up against Misaia Lopez.
03:39 Chris, you're gonna be there with Pauly Malignaggi
03:41 and the great Mike Goldberg, live on ProboxTV
03:43 from the Plant City Event Center.
03:46 And the other co-main event, Radovoi "Hot Rod" Karlajic.
03:49 I've been practicing that name for a while.
03:51 Going up against Mickey Ellison.
03:53 Also, Manuel Marquez is gonna be in the building
03:55 on the Spanish side as well.
03:57 And it's proboxtv.com, your boxing channel.
04:01 George D, tell us alongside the champ, Chris Algieri,
04:04 and looking forward to seeing what happens
04:06 in the second round.
04:07 Who did you see winning that first round?
04:08 - You know, it was a very tentative round for Mancilla.
04:11 It would be hard to give him the round.
04:12 He just didn't throw enough punches in my eyes.
04:14 Not that Rearte did all that much, but he was more active.
04:18 And I mean, you have a round
04:19 when neither guy really did too much.
04:20 I prefer the guy who's more active in making the action.
04:23 So I'm gonna give that round to Rearte.
04:25 - Sure, is Cordoba happy he said that?
04:28 (laughs)
04:29 Yeah.
04:30 - We'll see, still a lot of fight to go.
04:31 - Yeah, definitely.
04:32 This one is scheduled for six rounds here
04:34 in the super featherweight division.
04:35 Is round two about to begin here in Cordoba.
04:38 I wonder if Mancilla is a Belgrano Instituto Artalleres fan.
04:45 Maybe we'll find out later.
04:47 We'll see.
04:48 Is round two underway?
04:50 Rearte El Zurdito in the all black trunks
04:53 with the yellow gloves,
04:54 and Mancilla in the white and green trunks
04:57 with the red gloves.
04:59 First round in the books.
05:02 And second round,
05:03 let's see if we have a little more action here.
05:06 - Already, even just looking at the body language,
05:08 Mancilla looks a lot more comfortable.
05:10 He's coming forward.
05:11 He threw a big left hook to start.
05:12 Threw a couple of jabs.
05:14 Haven't seen many right hands from him,
05:16 which is interesting because he's fighting a sapla.
05:18 That's the usual lead weapon
05:20 that you're gonna use against a sapla.
05:21 But Mancilla going to that left hook first.
05:25 - Mancilla before that last fight
05:28 had a 12 fight winning streak
05:29 and he won nine of those
05:30 by either knockout or technical knockout.
05:32 So he's got some power there of his 15 wins.
05:35 11 have been by way of knockout.
05:37 So he definitely has some power in those hands.
05:41 Meanwhile, Rearte has never had a fight schedule
05:47 for longer than six rounds.
05:50 And he has 17 professional fights coming into this one.
05:53 We'll see if he gets pushed to the limit here.
05:57 - There's a good right hand there from Mancilla.
05:59 Setting that shot up, which I like that.
06:01 He's using that left hand to walk his man into the right.
06:04 Good uppercut there as well.
06:07 - Couple good body blows by Mancilla.
06:10 - And George, you had mentioned the power
06:13 and the knockout percentage for Mancilla.
06:15 You can hear his shots.
06:16 He's got some heavy hands.
06:18 He looks like a physically strong guy,
06:20 which is why he might have been so tentative
06:23 in that first round.
06:24 'Cause he understands that he's got that power.
06:27 - So we're halfway through the second round here
06:31 and a little bit more of letting go of the hands here,
06:35 more so from Mancilla.
06:36 - Yeah, much less tentative this round.
06:41 Mancilla sees what the path is.
06:44 I'm not sure, maybe if his corner
06:45 gave him the instruction, he needs to be busier,
06:48 or if it's just a comfort thing.
06:49 He said he's been out of the ring for quite some time,
06:52 but now he seems to have his footing underneath him.
06:54 - And Mancilla moving up in weight class for this fight.
06:59 As I mentioned, the last fight he was at 122.
07:02 Oh, good exchange there.
07:03 As you said, Chris, you can hear those shots from Mancilla,
07:06 those gloves connecting.
07:07 - Very different power between these two.
07:10 Mancilla, definitely the heavier handed of the two.
07:13 When they exchange, he's getting the better of it.
07:15 - Both fighters, some wild, wide punches coming in
07:20 for both fighters there.
07:21 Not afraid to exchange in the middle of the ring.
07:23 Mancilla, good left hand to the body.
07:26 - Yeah, it does seem though that Reyarte
07:30 is fighting off the back foot.
07:31 He's being forced into a fight,
07:33 as Mancilla is starting to pour on the pressure
07:35 here in round two.
07:36 - And that concludes the second round here.
07:42 Cordova is the Cordova native,
07:45 applying a little more pressure here in this second round.
07:48 Looking to see and find those openings against
07:51 Alexis Luis Reyarte.
07:53 Second round, second round go to Mancilla in that one?
08:01 - Oh, absolutely.
08:02 I mean, he put a lot of pressure on,
08:03 his power's coming through.
08:04 He was the busier of the two that round.
08:06 And it just seems that his confidence seems to be growing
08:08 quite a bit from round one,
08:10 when he seems a little hesitant, not so much in round two.
08:13 - Reyarte's corner.
08:16 Sure, advising him what he needs to do
08:19 after seeing what has happened the first two rounds.
08:23 Looks like Mancilla has a little section of supporters there
08:26 that have come to support him in this fight.
08:30 This is the Cordova native,
08:33 so they didn't have to travel too far.
08:37 And the third round here in the Cuoreum Cordova Hotel.
08:41 ProBoxTV.com, your boxing channel.
08:44 Don't forget to hit us up on all our social media platforms
08:48 at ProBoxTV.
08:49 Third round underway.
08:52 Zakari Kane Mancilla, the Cordova native
08:55 in the white and green trunks with the red gloves.
08:57 And Alexis Reyarte, the native of La Rioja,
09:01 in the black trunks with the yellow gloves.
09:05 Right hook there from Reyarte caught Mancilla.
09:07 You saw him give a little head nod there,
09:09 acknowledgement that the shot landed.
09:11 - Reyarte trying to back up Mancilla a little bit.
09:15 Making Mancilla respect his power.
09:20 Attempt at the body there.
09:22 Mancilla is...
09:25 It's kind of a slow, deliberate approach,
09:31 at least it appears to me, from both fighters.
09:35 - What I like that Mancilla's doing,
09:36 he looks like he's setting things up.
09:37 He's trying to position his man
09:39 into landing the big shot.
09:41 Now that right hand down low,
09:42 he sees where his opponent moves.
09:44 That's why I think the first round was so slow.
09:46 He was gathering data about how his opponent
09:48 was gonna react to his power, and now we're here.
10:04 Ooh, nice uppercutting inside from Mancilla.
10:07 - Look at Reyarte just kind of
10:11 trying to fight out of the corner there.
10:13 It does look like Mancilla's thinking.
10:16 Like you can see on his face that he's kind of,
10:18 like you said, processing that data.
10:19 He's thinking about where to go.
10:21 - And also as a puncher, you see him setting his feet up.
10:23 He needs to have his feet set to punch hard.
10:25 He's setting his feet up, he's inching closer and closer.
10:28 And Reyarte's making a mistake here.
10:29 He's allowing him to close the distance.
10:32 When you got a puncher like that,
10:33 you gotta keep him off balance.
10:34 You gotta keep angling.
10:35 And it seems like Reyarte is getting complacent
10:38 with allowing Mancilla to close that gap
10:40 and get in punching range.
10:41 - So how does Reyarte prevent that from happening,
10:44 that closing the distance?
10:45 What does he have to do to prevent that?
10:45 - He's gotta be first, George.
10:46 He's gotta fire, he's gotta feint from the outside.
10:48 He's gotta stay on his bike.
10:50 He moves well laterally, but he's gotta fire first.
10:53 He's allowing Mancilla to get too close
10:55 before he reacts with his counter punches
10:58 rather than leading.
10:59 - That reminds me of something Charles Barkley said.
11:02 He said, "Kids, if you're ever in a fight, swing first."
11:04 - Yeah, be first.
11:06 - Yeah.
11:07 - Make your offense your defense.
11:09 - And Reyarte responding with a flurry of his own.
11:15 Under 30 seconds left here as we are
11:17 almost halfway done in this fight here.
11:20 This super featherweight encounter scheduled for six rounds.
11:23 - Mancilla's starting to target the body
11:25 and work his way up, and then Reyarte came back
11:26 with a nice straight left hand down the middle.
11:28 That caught Mancilla as he finished his body shots.
11:31 - Oh! - Body shot there,
11:32 nose is slipped. - Yeah, that looked,
11:34 I don't know, George, I think I agree with you.
11:35 That certainly could have been rolled a knockdown.
11:38 I'd have to see the replay on that one.
11:40 - Kimball.
11:41 - And that will end the third round.
11:43 And here is what we have for you coming up on ProBox TV,
11:46 including a taste of what we spoke with Jim Lampley.
11:50 - Welcome to ProBox.
11:58 - Thank you very much, George.
12:00 Pleasure to be here with both Pauly and Chris and you.
12:03 It appeared that the punch landed directly on the belt line.
12:07 And obviously, most fighters go in
12:11 with the trunks a little bit high.
12:13 Maybe they slide down a little bit
12:15 during the course of the action,
12:17 but it's the nemesis of officials
12:22 in every sport everywhere, the 50/50 call.
12:25 From the still photos I looked at,
12:27 it appeared to be a 50/50 call.
12:30 So I can't argue with it.
12:32 - You can see the entire interview
12:37 with the great Jim Lampley on ProBoxTV.com.
12:41 And I was mesmerized the entire time he spoke.
12:44 It was amazing.
12:46 Someone who watched him coming up and calling fights,
12:49 it was a history lesson right there.
12:52 It was fantastic stuff.
12:53 Jim Lampley always comes through in magnificent fashion.
12:56 As I mentioned, you can catch the entire interview
12:58 on ProBoxTV.com.
13:00 As we are about to begin the fourth round here in Cordoba.
13:07 As the Cordoba native, Zakharikani Mancia,
13:12 rowing into this fight.
13:14 But Alexis Rearte making it difficult for the Cordobese.
13:19 Fourth round underway.
13:25 Mancia in the white and green trunks with the red gloves
13:28 and Rearte Zurdito, as he is called,
13:31 black trunks, yellow gloves.
13:33 Mancia opening up with a hard right hand.
13:38 - Yeah, it certainly seems to me
13:40 that Mancia has some ring rust to bust off
13:43 in those first couple rounds.
13:44 He's really been coming on much more sure
13:46 of what he wants to do.
13:47 Referee warrants for an elbow.
13:49 And now we have a cut under the eye of Zurdito.
13:53 - That was quick.
13:54 Quick opening of that cut under the eye from the elbow.
13:59 - Some power shots with the left hand to the body of Mancia.
14:04 Ooh, good counter by Rearte.
14:07 - Now I was just about to mention, George,
14:08 you see the focus of Mancia is the body work.
14:12 And that is a result of that left hook there.
14:15 It was a little bit of a delayed reaction.
14:17 He did hit him a little bit on the way down,
14:18 as he might've already been down.
14:22 - So the standing eight count.
14:23 And that's a knockdown score for Mancia.
14:26 And then he rushes over to try to finish off Rearte
14:28 in the corner, but Rearte fighting out of the corner,
14:31 punching back, eventually escapes.
14:35 Some good action here in this fourth round.
14:37 - Yeah, Mancia, he's running into some of these shots.
14:39 He's so focused on the body and so focused on his offense.
14:42 He's not bringing his hands back to home.
14:44 And that's allowed Rearte to find some big shots,
14:46 especially with the right hook
14:47 and the left hand down the middle.
14:48 - Another warning for the elbow there.
14:50 Second warning for the elbow for Mancia.
14:54 - And Mancia just looks like a very tough guy.
14:57 He's rough, he's tough, he's throwing elbows in there.
14:59 He's got big, heavy hands.
15:01 - Rearte's in trouble.
15:02 A couple of good uppercuts.
15:04 But every time Rearte gets pinned,
15:06 he just swings and fights out of it.
15:07 - Yeah, but again, I mentioned the power differential
15:11 between these two, and that couldn't be more evident here
15:13 as Mancia is just overpowering, out-slugging, out-working.
15:19 - Oh! - Down again.
15:20 - Yeah, it's that uppercut got Rearte connected very well.
15:24 It's the second time he's been knocked down in this round.
15:27 Standing eight count.
15:31 You can see the blood streaming down the face of Rearte
15:36 from that, probably open from the elbow.
15:38 September 6th, Wednesday Night Fights,
15:43 live on ProBoxTV.com,
15:45 ProBox Event Center, Plant City, Florida.
15:47 Chris, you're gonna be there for those two fights,
15:49 Kalajit Chen, Ellison, and also William Foster III.
15:52 Those are gonna be some great encounters.
15:53 - I mean, you got two main events in that fight.
15:55 - Yeah. - I'm super excited.
15:56 Got two really good fights.
15:57 Oh, wow, Duarte's actually cut over the eye.
16:00 Rearte, rather, is cut over the eye and under the eye.
16:03 There's a whole new cut.
16:04 And I was gonna talk about cuts and their placement
16:08 and how dangerous they can be.
16:09 Under the eye, not as dangerous.
16:10 Obviously, does not bleed into the vision.
16:13 - Right. - So, yeah, it's painful.
16:15 That cut under the eye hurts,
16:16 but it's not gonna affect your ability to fight,
16:19 or your ability to see.
16:21 The cut over the eye, very dangerous position to have,
16:25 'cause that blood drips into your eye.
16:27 You blink, you don't see a punch, you get hurt.
16:29 The shot you see is always the one that hurts the most.
16:31 - So that cut, man, in the corners,
16:33 this is where he really earns his money.
16:35 - If he can get to the corner. - Right.
16:37 - Still time left in this round.
16:38 A lot of blood from the eye.
16:39 - Yeah, streaming down the right side of the face
16:41 of Zurrito Rearte.
16:44 And Mancia knows it.
16:44 Looks like he's going for it, trying to exploit that.
16:47 Definitely, Mancia looks like he's throwing
16:52 for a knockout here.
16:53 He's really putting some power into those shots.
16:55 - Ooh, good body work again.
16:57 - And now down the ropes.
17:02 Ducking and dodging, he slips there.
17:04 - Okay, under the elbow as well.
17:07 Very physical is Mancia.
17:09 He's really putting a lot of pressure
17:12 in the last round and a half.
17:14 - Definitely a round going to Sekarikani Mancia
17:17 as the cut man in the corner of Rearte.
17:21 This is where his paycheck is earned.
17:25 Take a look at that best action from the fourth round.
17:28 You can see Mancia definitely being.
17:30 - You see Mancia putting on tons of pressure,
17:36 pinning his man against the ropes, letting both hands go.
17:38 And that left hook behind the ear
17:40 is the one that put Rearte down.
17:44 - You see he get up, he's disappointed,
17:47 but he's still fighting on.
17:49 Still some fight left in him.
17:50 Ooh, nice uppercut there.
17:51 Two both hands uppercuts.
17:53 It was a left uppercut, then a right uppercut.
17:55 I'm wondering if one of those shots
17:56 was actually where the cut came from.
17:58 'Cause there was a new cut that came up
18:01 at the end of the round, over the eye.
18:03 - Fifth round here in Cordoba,
18:05 and Mancia in control of this fight.
18:11 Rearte barely surviving that fourth round.
18:14 Let's see if he can improve here in the fifth round.
18:17 It's the referee.
18:19 - Referee's making it clear that the cuts are from elbows.
18:27 - Both, both of them.
18:29 - Yeah, that's very, that's.
18:31 - Is there another one under the left eye too?
18:36 - Yeah, he's got two cuts, over and under.
18:39 Oh, on the left side.
18:40 - Oh, the other side, yeah.
18:41 - Oh, no, I didn't see that.
18:41 - Maybe, if we get a closer look at his face,
18:44 maybe that's just blood trail, I don't know.
18:47 But it looked like there might've been something
18:49 under the left eye as well.
18:50 Round five underway.
18:53 Mancia, white and green with the red gloves,
18:55 white and green trunks.
18:57 Rearte, black trunks with the yellow gloves.
18:59 Looks like Mancia, he sees where the weaknesses,
19:04 he sees where the openings are.
19:05 He was really letting those hands go in the fourth round.
19:08 We'll see if that continues here in the fifth.
19:10 - Yeah, Mancia had a slow start,
19:14 but he's really picked up these last few rounds.
19:16 Once he started focusing on the body,
19:17 he became a whole different kind of fighter in there.
19:20 He turned into the hunter,
19:21 and he's been chasing Rearte all night long,
19:24 trying to pin him and let those hands go down low
19:26 and work his way up.
19:27 - Mancia, that right hand, he's letting it go.
19:32 Rearte at this point, he just has to survive, right?
19:37 I mean, make sure he doesn't absorb
19:39 any more punishment.
19:40 - Well, I always think, I mean,
19:42 Mancia is so offensive-minded.
19:45 He's there to get cracked with a counter shot.
19:48 If Rearte can walk him into a shot
19:49 and use his own aggression against him,
19:51 he may be able to hurt him, or at least get some respect.
19:54 'Cause at this point, Mancia's just walking him down.
19:56 - Oh! - Oh!
19:57 - Straight right hand!
20:01 Putting Rearte to the turf.
20:03 No need for a 10 count, and it's over.
20:06 Mancia has won this fight.
20:08 Knockout in the fifth round.
20:12 And a devastating blow there by Sakarikani Mancia
20:18 to improve to 16 wins, 12 by knockout.
20:21 - Beautiful right hand shot.
20:23 I had mentioned earlier how Mancia was setting up punches,
20:27 moving his man, and walking him into his shots.
20:30 That was exactly, that was right there.
20:32 - That right hand was flush.
20:36 Straight, right down the middle.
20:37 No fat on that punch.
20:38 Perfect shot for a southpaw, right down the middle.
20:41 Splits the guard.
20:42 I had mentioned earlier, the shot you don't see
20:45 is the one that hurts you the most.
20:47 No way Rearte saw that shot.
20:48 - What a fantastic knockout there by Mancia.
20:53 Showing that he can be, well, he has the power there now.
21:01 - And in the last 14 fights, he's won 10 by knockout,
21:05 or technical knockout.
21:07 What a devastating display in front of his home fans
21:10 and in his hometown, Sakarikani Mancia.
21:13 Huge fifth round KO with a devastating right hand
21:16 to take down Alexis Rearte.
21:18 And don't forget, we got a co-main event here in Argentina.
21:21 Yep, that's a Belgrano fan.
21:22 I saw the shirt there, I saw the jacket.
21:24 Ramon Quiroga will be taking on Efrain Gonzalez,
21:29 or Rodriguez Gonzalez, a matchup of Argentina
21:31 and Mexico for the WBA Fede Latino Flyweight title
21:35 at 112 pounds, or 50.8 kilos,
21:38 since they use metric system down there.
21:39 And then the main event should be promising
21:42 and interesting as well as another Argentine,
21:45 Sebastian Pateci, will be going against another Mexican,
21:48 Indigo Carmona, that for the IBF Latino middleweight title.
21:53 10 rounds scheduled for that.
21:56 Both the co-main event and the main event
21:59 scheduled for 10 rounds.
22:01 And Mancia's friends and family
22:05 very happy with the result.
22:06 What a devastating right hand there in the fifth.
22:10 And Mancia, ooh!
22:12 - Beautiful shot, head off line,
22:13 right hand right down the middle.
22:15 He caught Rearte there in transition as he was moving out.
22:20 He was trying to escape,
22:21 and he put the right hand to where he was going to be,
22:23 not to where he was.
22:24 Beautiful shot.
22:25 Yeah, Rearte was trying to use that lateral movement
22:29 to punch as he was escaping, bang!
22:31 Right down the middle, left that opening,
22:33 very, very slim opening.
22:35 And Mancia caught it perfectly.
22:38 And like I said, he didn't see the shot.
22:40 He was trying to be offensive and escape.
22:43 Right hand, right on the chin, perfectly placed shot.
22:46 No need for a count there.
22:48 He had been hurt, dropped twice in the round before.
22:51 He was cut above, below, and under the other eye.
22:54 Referee had seen enough.
22:55 No argument from Rearte in his corner.
22:58 Good stoppage.
22:59 - And now here's the official decision.
23:02 (speaking in foreign language)
23:27 - He now improves to 16 wins, two losses,
23:30 and 12 wins by knockout.
23:32 And he excites, ignites, and delights the crowd in Cordoba
23:36 with the victory.
23:39 And always good to see the family get in the ring as well,
23:44 celebrate with dad.
