00:00We made it to the top seven. Talk to me about these amazing performances tonight.
00:03It was an emotional night, Katie.
00:05It was. I would contribute that to filming at Disneyland until 2 a.m. and then driving home for an hour.
00:11I may be starting my lady time at any moment, and I'm emotionally invested in these contestants.
00:18Like, I study them and I have studied them for weeks, and I think you can see that with, like, how much I go,
00:25oh, I think that they would sound great.
00:28Although Evanescence, which is what he chose for Abby, and I chose his Eyes on the Sky, was an incredible pick,
00:34and I'm so glad she did not pick mine.
00:36Incredible. Incredible. Talk to me about saving McKenna tonight.
00:39You were the big winner, too. I mean, a lot of winners all around.
00:44I mean, I did not know it was going to come to that.
00:46I thought it was going to be a totally different equation and it would have been a little easier maybe for me.
00:51I don't know. Not really easy at this point on anything, but this was horrible. I was in tears.
00:56I was like, I didn't want to do this.
00:59This is like, the universe was like, oh, you want to win?
01:02Oh, you want to win? Oh, you want to wear the crown?
01:04It's pretty heavy. Can you take it?
01:06No, you're going to have to choose.
01:08But I think, you know, Cabron's okay.
01:10I think she's got so much love online, which is what I'll probably not be experiencing tonight, so I'll just go to sleep.
01:20But I think she's got a career if she continues the way she's been on Idol, and I'm not worried about her.
01:26And, you know, I have like this, kind of this, I just have a little spiritual connection to McKenna and her story and something about it.
01:35It's feel good for sure.
01:37Next week's Idol is also the Met Gala.
01:40Are you going at all?
01:41You'll just have to wait and see.
01:43Where are you going to be?
01:44You'll just have to tune in on Sunday.
01:47I want to know, what is your favorite Met moment of all time, whether it be you, whether it be someone?
01:51Do you have a favorite moment?
01:54Um, you know, I did, I was able to wear Margiela and able to kind of announce my album, Witness, through these glasses.
02:07And it was just like, it was a wild time, but it was beautiful.
02:11And I felt like I was kind of cutting edge and it was hard to really understand it.
02:17But like looking back, I'm like, oh, OK, this this that was the right move.
02:22And then and then my only regret is that in my cheeseburger outfit, I didn't roll down the stairs in it because I would have liked to have that on tape forever.
02:32Just me rolling down those massive stairs in my cheeseburger outfit probably would have never been invited back.
02:38But I would have rolled the dice for that role.
02:41Roll the dice, iconic.
02:43And speaking of iconic, you just got the Champions of Children's Award.
02:47Your whole family was there.
02:48What was that like celebrating?
02:50You're such an inspiration.
02:52You know, it was just such a wonderful opportunity to shine a light on what I love to do, which is my firework foundation and to serve these kids.
03:03Like I am emotionally invested in these kids on the show and I'm emotionally invested in the lives of these sixth, seventh and eighth graders that I get to provide arts programming for at camp.
03:14It's like my favorite thing.
03:15It's the only thing that I want to be known for in a hundred years.
03:18I mean, fine, if you like my songs still in a hundred years.
03:21Great, that too.
