00:02 Rookie Minicamp's about to roll in the NFL and of course,
00:04 every team trying to find those supplementary new guys.
00:07 And who do they supplement?
00:08 They supplement the quarterbacks.
00:10 I'm Mike Fisher reporting on your NFL.
00:13 Let's look division by division and you can see the trend.
00:17 It matters, obviously 53 guys matter, but
00:21 that one centerpiece guy matters in the NFC East.
00:25 And I've said this for a while about the Washington commanders team.
00:28 There is nothing particularly wrong with their roster except for
00:31 the absence of a quarterback.
00:33 And if Jalen Daniels, the second overall pick in this draft,
00:36 if Daniels is an answer, then Washington immediately leapfrogs.
00:42 We know where Philadelphia is obviously with Jalen Hurts.
00:44 There's talk there, continuing talk about he needs to be different.
00:47 He needs to be a more vocal.
00:49 I would argue that Jalen Hurts handles his business just fine.
00:53 Thank you.
00:55 In New York, Drew Locke is really a candidate to push Daniel Jones.
01:01 Brian Dable says that's not the case, but
01:04 whispers say otherwise and obviously in Dallas.
01:08 It's all about Dak Prescott.
01:10 This is gonna be a massive story, maybe unfortunately for
01:13 the Cowboys as he is a lame duck, lame Dak.
01:16 No contract right now, no real progress there.
01:19 And the distinct possibility that he is a free agent a year from now.
01:24 And as much as some Cowboy Watchers think that Dak Prescott doesn't have it,
01:29 the idea of letting him go for nothing makes no sense whatsoever.
01:34 In the AFC, the bills are reloading with Josh Allen as the centerpiece guy.
01:40 And of course, Cal Coleman and others ecstatic to be part of an offense
01:46 led by that guy in the AFC East as well.
01:51 Same thing with Aaron Rodgers where there's an argument that that is as good
01:55 a roster now as there is in the AFC and they built it piece by piece by piece.
02:00 Now they just need Aaron Rodgers.
02:02 He doesn't have to be a fifth time MVP, but
02:06 something close would be nice for the Jets.
02:10 And in the AFC North, the draft that the Steelers had,
02:15 does it allow them to close the gap on the Ravens?
02:18 Don't know about that.
02:19 Does it put some distance between them and the Browns?
02:24 Does it maybe even allow them to nudge toward the loaded Kansas City Chiefs?
02:30 Well, until we know what the Browns have at quarterback and
02:34 Deshaun Watson just hadn't done enough there to tell us we know,
02:38 until we know what Russell Wilson's gonna do in Pittsburgh, and
02:41 obviously that's brand spanking new.
02:43 Really hard for anybody in the NFC to make any sort of claim
02:47 that they're gonna catch Patrick Holmes, who in his own sort of way,
02:51 a couple of days ago, guaranteed that they're going back for another one.
02:56 That the Chiefs are going back for another one.
02:58 And because this is a quarterback league, you know what?
03:02 That's not a bad bet.
03:03 Fish out.
