00:00 A lot of attention on what's going on off the pitch again as regards to the potential takeover of the football club.
00:05 Sean, what do you know at this stage? What are you being told?
00:08 Nothing more than I've said all along.
00:10 A lot of news out there, but until I'm told factually any different, then nothing changes from my point of view.
00:18 The shareholders association this week have called on the owner and the Premier League to end this far, as they said.
00:24 How similar is your mindset then as regards this?
00:28 I wouldn't comment on their view. I just think that I can only imagine, and some might know a little bit about it,
00:34 you know, the last club there was a takeover and it took a long time.
00:38 There's a lot going on at this club. I think we've spoken on this subject before, obviously, and there's a lot going on.
00:44 It's not just as simple as the club's up and running and you just buy it.
00:48 I don't think it's that situation. You've got new ground getting built.
00:51 You've got the complexities of the finances here. That's become obvious.
00:56 And staying in the division, which is now achieved, of course, there's a lot going on.
01:00 I don't know all the points are all necessary, but I would imagine there's a lot of detail that goes into buying this football club,
01:07 and that would take some time.
01:09 It seems, obviously, agreement was reached last year, and the fact that it's dragged on so long,
01:15 surely it's impacting you now because you've secured Premier League safety,
01:19 yet I would imagine you're not necessarily able to plan fully for what lies ahead now.
01:26 Well, I didn't know at the time, but ever since I got here, I've been trying to manage a situation.
01:31 The goalposts move significantly at any given time, so I don't think I'm in new waters for that side of things.
01:39 So, you know, that is the challenge at the moment.
01:41 It's the shifting sands of this football club, or current shifting sands.
01:45 I've said many times you want to put a base into the club to build from, and it's not quite there yet.
01:51 There's situations that are out of my control, but they are in people's control,
01:56 and certainly at a level of the club that know more about all the details and the minutiae
02:00 and the important side of getting a deal done.
02:02 So until I'm told different, I keep working accordingly.
