Supermarket Sweep (S1, Ep 58 - Nov 24th 1993)

Today's trolley dolleys in a all female episode are Rose & Jill from Cardiff, Sam & Sarah from Birmingham, and Shelley & Marilyn from Essex. It's a colourful concoction of contestants, but Dale is surprisingly dressed in muted black for today's episode. Of the teams one woman had an eager groom on her wedding day, another team of pals got up to unusual antics at night ("No, It's not what you think," adds Dale to a chuckling audience), while another works in Menswear. It's a slow build up in the quiz rounds for points but just when one team looks to be pulling away it all changes again to make it a close call going into the Super Sweep. And it really is hard to call leaving it to a crucial price summary to decide who will go through to the grand final. So who will triumph, and can they gain that sought after cash prize of £2,000?
