Eurovision is enjoyed by millions of people across the planet, countries from across Europe compete for the top spot, and except for a few outliers, the UK always does pretty badly. So with Wales being so talented musically and not being as politically divisive as the UK, maybe we should go it alone and see the land of song on the European stage.

00:00 Yes, definitely. It's a land of culture and song, so yeah, I think we'd do a better job.
00:07 Yeah, it's absolutely political. I mean, if you're bringing broadcasters from around the
00:10 world, they're representing their governments, their countries, it's impossible to separate
00:16 politics from the arts and music, really. I think Welsh politics is a lot different to
00:21 what's coming out of Westminster, so it'd be nice to promote equality and diversity.
00:27 Yeah, that'd be much better, I think.
00:30 Absolutely. I mean, we're a country known for our singing, so I think if we were our
00:33 own entry, we could do amazingly. That's my opinion anyway, and I think there's a lot
00:39 of talent in Wales that people aren't really seeing. I remember Lucy Jones was the UK entry
00:44 a few years back, and she did brilliantly. That's just one example of how the Welsh could
00:49 show their talent, but yeah, I think we could do well on our own.
00:53 Yeah, if they sing in Welsh, I reckon we'd do alright. Shearing out heritage would be
01:01 a benefit for us and the world, don't it?
01:05 Well, I don't really watch Eurovision because of the standard of music, but no, particularly
01:11 Britain, you know what I mean? The United Kingdom, not Wales.
01:15 Because Wales is a much more communitarian society than a country next door. It might,
01:26 of course, win quite frequently, which might prove to be a rather expensive exercise, but
01:33 we'll cross that bridge when we come through it.
01:37 I think it is a bit of a pipe dream, but I would love to see it happen. I'm definitely
01:42 all up for supporting Wales in being their own country and having their own presence,
01:48 but I think that a lot of the times Wales do get forgotten, especially in the context
01:53 of the UK. So as much as I would love to see it happen, I think it's a long shot.
