We ask the people of Cardiff whether they think private fireworks should be banned in favour of larger, more well supervised public displays.

00:00No, I think it should absolutely be only for private events and controlled events with people with licenses and things like that.
00:06And I also think it should only be on or around bonfire night.
00:11Personally, I think people with PTSD and dogs and all that sort of stuff, cats, yeah, that's my view.
00:17Well, it's quite dangerous, I would have thought, isn't it, unless it's supervised.
00:22You know, when I was a kid 150 years ago, you know, we used to have bonfires, but it was community-based.
00:27It wasn't anywhere near the house. It was always quite dangerous because kids can be reckless, can't they,
00:32with fireworks and bangers going off and all sorts, and they want some fun from it.
00:37But I think as long as it's supervised, yeah, you know, I don't see a problem.
00:41I guess it should be looked at more.
00:45I remember last year, actually, I had my window open and a firework came straight through my bedroom window.
00:52So that was a bit unnerving. The dog doesn't like it either.
00:57But again, what can they really do about it? I don't know.
