Maison by Glaschu is the newest restaurant to open in Princes Square

00:00 So we have another restaurant, Glashue, this is a sister restaurant of it.
00:03 Glashue is a fine dining restaurant, this is a brasserie version of that basically.
00:08 So a little bit more relaxed and slightly different vibes but the same quality in
00:14 service and drinks and food. Prince of Squares, like right in the centre of Glasgow, I think most
00:18 Glaswegians know it and it's always been an upmarket sort of shopping centre. When the
00:23 opportunity arose to come and open a restaurant here, we jumped at it because it's a great
00:29 location and it's a nice bright indoor space and the restaurant we've got is also cool.
00:35 The jumping off point was, it was the same sort of ethos as what Glashue is,
00:38 and it's sort of French but using really good Scottish produce and so that was the sort of
00:45 jumping off point for that. We came with an idea of having the brasserie food which is sort of,
00:51 in its heart, French again but sort of running it through Glasgow and making a brasserie for
00:57 Glasgow. We've then had a nice sort of relaxed week going into it but great feedback across the
01:03 board, busy Saturday and we're sitting out on the terrace right now. This is just constant people
01:10 coming, some having a drink, some having a coffee, some having food and so it's just a great space to
01:16 be and people seem to be enjoying what we've been doing so far. The plans are just to be like an
01:20 integral part of Prince of Squares and like this sort of community, those like established places
01:26 that have been here for years and we're looking to just obviously come in and be part of that as
01:30 well and just offer something like in this sort of area that we maybe feel isn't available. I think a
01:38 sort of really well done like brasserie menu that's suitable for Glasgow, like it's something
01:45 that we've sort of seen isn't really there, there's other places doing it but I think what we're doing
01:50 is maybe unique and just that all the dishes, the bar menu has been curated thinking of Glasgow at
01:56 at its heart rather than just trying to implant something from somewhere else.
