00:50 [FOREIGN] and welcome to PEP Live Morning Edition.
01:04 I am your host, Bernie Franco.
01:06 [FOREIGN]
01:16 We will talk more about that, but for now,
01:21 let's welcome our very special guest,
01:26 the talented singer-actor, Inigo Pascual.
01:30 >> [FOREIGN]
01:33 Thank you so much for having me.
01:34 [FOREIGN] Good morning.
01:36 [FOREIGN]
01:38 >> Hi, Inigo.
01:39 Thank you very much for gracing our show.
01:42 So Inigo is now in the US, right?
01:44 >> Yes, [FOREIGN]
01:47 >> All right, so it's now 11.04
01:50 Philippine time.
01:51 [FOREIGN]
01:52 >> [FOREIGN]
01:55 >> Okay, so at least in the past,
01:58 super late.
01:59 >> [FOREIGN]
02:00 >> Okay, so thank you very much, Inigo,
02:03 for gracing our show.
02:05 And now, we will talk more about your latest single and
02:09 then a little update about your life there in the US.
02:13 So are you ready?
02:15 >> Yes, yes, let's go.
02:17 >> All right, we are being streamed live on YouTube,
02:20 Facebook, and Kumu.
02:22 So if you have any question, just send it to us.
02:26 And if we have time, we will read it to Inigo, okay?
02:30 All right, Inigo, before we start, let's have a little warmup.
02:33 Let's play a game first.
02:36 Are you up to it?
02:37 >> Yes, let's do it.
02:39 >> All right.
02:40 [BLANK_AUDIO]
02:50 Okay, [FOREIGN]
02:57 Our game is called What's in a Name, Inigo?
03:01 So I will give five names, one at a time.
03:05 So it could be a name of a person, or a title of a show, or a program.
03:11 And then first thoughts that comes to mind,
03:15 it could be a word, a paragraph, or a description.
03:20 >> Okay.
03:21 >> [FOREIGN] To shake the nerves off, okay?
03:25 >> Okay.
03:26 >> All right, first entry.
03:29 [FOREIGN]
03:33 >> [FOREIGN]
03:43 >> [FOREIGN]
03:53 >> [LAUGH]
03:54 >> And then he gets annoyed.
03:55 But it's an inside joke.
03:57 >> [FOREIGN] In a literal sense, [FOREIGN]
04:02 He's your dad.
04:03 Okay, [FOREIGN] So we will get to them later.
04:08 But for now, our second entry, Susan Sarandon.
04:15 >> Beautiful person.
04:17 Working with her was something that I was afraid of.
04:21 I was scared when I found out that she was gonna play my grandmother.
04:23 But upon meeting her, [FOREIGN] Authentic.
04:28 And I love every second working with Susan.
04:32 >> What's the most unforgettable scene or moment with Susan, who is a Hollywood star?
04:38 >> I think my most memorable moment with Susan was my first day on set.
04:44 My first day on set was my birthday.
04:46 And I was so nervous.
04:49 [FOREIGN] It's a different country, first of all,
04:54 and different group of people that I'm not used to working with.
04:59 But she was the one holding the cake.
05:02 They all sang happy birthday to me.
05:04 And after singing, the only thing I said to her was,
05:08 the only thing I want for my birthday is a picture with you.
05:11 And she was laughing.
05:12 She couldn't believe that that was my birthday wish.
05:14 But she always has the nicest things to say and a lovely person.
05:20 >> Nice.
05:22 [FOREIGN] I mean, she's been in this industry for a very long time.
05:31 And here you are, someone who wants to make a name for himself.
05:35 [FOREIGN]
05:37 >> Yeah, actually, I was able to share with her about my dad.
05:41 [FOREIGN] He's this big star in the Philippines.
05:47 And she was able to give me so much advice.
05:51 [FOREIGN] Was getting into acting.
05:53 She was starting her own career.
05:55 And she always just would tell me, whatever you wanna do,
05:59 don't do it because you're pressured.
06:00 Don't do it because you think you're scared of the way people will think of you.
06:07 Just be authentic.
06:08 And people will love you for you, not just as someone else,
06:13 someone's son or daughter.
06:15 And that's something that I've stated.
06:18 >> Wow, that's so nice.
06:20 [FOREIGN]
06:26 Did she talk about having been in the Philippines?
06:30 [FOREIGN] She did a project in the Philippines.
06:33 Was she able to share it to you?
06:35 >> I think she did mention it.
06:36 I don't remember clearly what movie or when it was.
06:40 But I do remember her saying a lot of good things about Filipinos.
06:44 She would say a lot of Filipinos are so nice.
06:48 And I think she lives in New York, if I'm not mistaken.
06:51 And there's a lot of Filipinos in New York.
06:53 [FOREIGN]
07:03 >> That's so nice, Inigo.
07:05 At least she shared with you that we have a good reputation when it comes to her.
07:11 All right, okay, third entry.
07:14 >> Mark.
07:17 [FOREIGN]
07:27 >> And it's something that I miss.
07:29 I miss being on the set with all of my castmates in that show.
07:33 And grateful that it was something that I never thought would happen in this lifetime,
07:38 but it did.
07:39 [FOREIGN]
07:42 And it's very special to me.
07:43 And you guys can watch it in the Philippines.
07:45 [FOREIGN]
07:48 It's available to watch in the Philippines now.
07:51 >> Right.
07:52 [FOREIGN]
07:55 >> It's tagalized, so it's easy for the viewers to understand.
08:00 So, what did you learn working with a foreign production team, Inigo, when it comes to being an actor?
08:11 >> I was so scared going into that project because it's so different.
08:22 [FOREIGN]
08:33 [FOREIGN]
08:45 And also, it's a challenge for the actor.
08:47 [FOREIGN]
08:53 >> Every director that you start working with, [FOREIGN]
09:02 After a couple episodes, they won't give you what your character should feel or what your character should act like.
09:09 You're supposed to know what your characters are supposed to be like.
09:13 >> Okay.
09:14 [FOREIGN]
09:16 What's the biggest challenge for you being in an international production?
09:21 [FOREIGN]
09:28 >> My character had to have a Southern accent.
09:31 And I knew it from the audition, I needed to do a Southern accent.
09:36 And it's something -- I mean, I grew up in L.A., so [FOREIGN]
09:41 It's the very usual American accent.
09:45 [FOREIGN]
09:55 [FOREIGN]
10:00 So that's something that I had to work on.
10:03 They had a dialect coach that worked with me on and off set, which was really helpful.
10:09 [FOREIGN]
10:15 They're from the U.K., so [FOREIGN]
10:21 >> Nice. Okay.
10:23 At least, you really pulled it off.
10:26 [FOREIGN]
10:28 Is there a talk?
10:30 >> No, they're not doing a season two for it, unfortunately.
10:33 I'm really sad about it.
10:34 But I hope to land a project like that in the future,
10:42 that I'm able to sing in it.
10:44 But I'm still auditioning for other stuff here.
10:46 [FOREIGN]
10:52 >> We will pray for that, Inigo, aside from your music career.
10:56 [FOREIGN]
11:01 >> Okay, we have the last two.
11:04 Okay, the fourth one.
11:06 [FOREIGN]
11:07 >> [FOREIGN]
11:10 >> Of course.
11:11 >> [FOREIGN]
11:13 Someone that I spent some beautiful years together working with her was a big part of my career.
11:22 And I'm so proud of how far she's gone in her own personal journey.
11:27 [FOREIGN]
11:29 And I'm grateful to have been able to witness a big chunk of her career as well.
11:35 And forever grateful.
11:37 >> Yes, and she's doing very well now, Inigo.
11:40 >> Yes, super.
11:41 >> At least.
11:43 Okay, the last one.
11:47 [FOREIGN]
11:49 >> [FOREIGN]
11:51 It's been a long time since I've been asked this question.
11:55 Again, someone that I literally started my career with her.
11:59 She was the very first actress and I had a lot of firsts with this person.
12:07 And I'm always grateful with all the people that I'm able to work with.
12:13 [FOREIGN]
