00:00 And we are tracking some of that wet weather here and through the southern
00:04 plains coming up right now on AccuWeather Ahead.
00:08 Pretty low visibility with those intense thunderstorms, Melissa, moving through the
00:14 Carolinas earlier. Yeah, we've had a lot of rain there and even some severe
00:18 weather threats in the region. Some hail recorded in North Carolina. Yeah,
00:22 absolutely, and some of the hail is growing in size into parts of the Texas
00:25 Panhandle. In fact, there's a brand new severe thunderstorm watch that we can
00:28 show you in a moment for other areas as well. As we take a look at the radar here
00:33 and take this full, we have some ongoing showers and some thunderstorms and some
00:36 of these have been very intense with some severe weather possible into parts
00:40 of Texas and other parts of the Carolinas too. Yeah, some thunderstorms
00:44 moving off the eastern U.S. The others just working their way through the
00:48 central U.S. So you can see that rain across Iowa, Nebraska and more
00:52 thunderstorms across Texas. That's that severe weather threat Jeff was
00:55 mentioning headed into the day tomorrow. The rain increases into Dallas with
00:59 some flooding potential there and later in the day into Houston as well. That
01:02 will keep temperatures down for some, but it's gonna be delightful farther
01:05 north and west up into Denver. Even Billings 79 looks great there. I was
01:08 gonna say billions is calling my name. I'd like to be there for tomorrow. We
01:12 will start you off with that set up of what our top story is, and we're keeping
01:18 an eye on the southern U. S. As we continue to watch some of the wet
01:22 weather work through Lakeland, Florida has been getting in on some of the wet
01:26 windy weather today. Yeah, pretty active scenes here with a really
01:30 convective sky and rain dropping the visibility down. It's hard to see much
01:34 more than maybe a half mile down the road and look at the street flooding.
01:37 Yeah, street flooding a huge problem. You gotta take it easy when it comes
01:41 to that because it can so quickly pull your car one direction or another. And
01:44 let's face it, not all of us have the same kind of experience on the road as
01:47 others, especially if you've got any teenage drivers out there. You know
01:51 that these kinds of conditions can lead to extra challenges. We're gonna take
01:55 you to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The view here is starting to look a little
01:59 more stormy offshore. Jeff just to the south, I think, is where they had that
02:03 thunderstorm move through. Yeah, actually. Now, as this is kind of
02:05 evolved, one heavy storm moved south and it's split. So an element, one part
02:10 of that storm kind of fractured and is moving now through parts of Horry
02:13 County. Severe thunderstorm warning is in progress for Myrtle Beach and
02:17 Carolina Forest. Other areas here from Socastie to the new Earth. So look out
02:22 for this. It's gonna be a pretty active time. You can see some of the
02:25 darkening of the sky offshore. The worst of this is actually from behind
02:28 the cameras perspective there over inland portions of Horry County, just
02:33 northwest of Myrtle Beach. So that's a nasty storm. That is the only severe
02:36 thunderstorm warning in progress right now in the southeastern U. S. Some of
02:40 the recent severe storms have been weakening into Jacksonville, North
02:44 Carolina and into areas around Havelock as well into Florida. This has been a
02:48 more manageable event this afternoon and evening. Some downpours are still
02:51 clipping on through areas around Cape, uh, areas around, say, uh, the area
02:57 around Cape Coral and Fort Myers.
