00:04 ♪ It's a beautiful life ♪

00:07 We've always wanted this show to be more than just a television show.

00:11 I'm Dr. Sean Murphy.

00:13 I'm a surgical resident at San Jose-St. Bonaventure Hospital.

00:16 If in some small way we've been able to help challenge stereotypes surrounding autism,

00:23 that would certainly be the thing that I'm most proud of.

00:26 Dr. Murphy may not communicate like you do, but make no mistake, he does communicate.

00:31 And he inspires.

00:32 I want to tell stories that are representative of my own lived experience.

00:37 I hope our legacy leaves behind vulnerability when it comes to acceptance.

00:45 I think the legacy of the show will be hope and heart.

00:49 It has a lovely positive message and it means so much to a lot of people.

00:54 You are an unstoppable force, Claire Brown.

00:57 And on top of all of that, you are kind, compassionate.

01:01 I think it's about representing humanity,

01:04 representing as many different experiences as we can

01:07 and telling stories genuinely and honestly.

01:10 Thank you, Dr. Murphy.

01:12 It feels a little bit like graduation.

01:17 You know, you look back, you're nostalgic for these wonderful times that you've had.

01:21 I have a feeling the feelings will creep up as we're shooting our last scene.

01:27 You know, it's been seven years.

01:28 It's knowing that this last season was slowly saying goodbye,

01:32 which is always the hardest thing to do.

01:34 What I'm going to miss most when the series ends is our good doctor family.

01:39 I love them so much.

01:41 I will miss the cast.

01:43 I will miss our crew who have been with us since the beginning.

01:47 I miss you guys.

01:50 We've created a family.

01:53 It will be very odd to say goodbye to everyone

01:58 and know that we will never be together in that same space in the same way.

02:03 You have grown a lot as a doctor, as a father, as a man.

02:09 To all the good doctor fans out there,

02:12 thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.
