00:00 And finally, Charlie, on to West Bromwich Albion. Now, their retained list in terms
00:05 of players staying over the club and another championship season ahead. Let's just discuss
00:09 that first. I mean, the play-offs wasn't to be in the end against Southampton. How will
00:15 they view this? Will they view it as a bit of a missed opportunity or something that
00:18 they could have shown signs that they can compete at the top of the championship and
00:23 they'll hope to be there or even better this time in 12 months?
00:28 I think it's quite promising the fact that they did finish in the play-offs because it's
00:31 a very competitive year in the championship. We kind of knew from the very beginning who
00:36 the big teams were going to be, Leeds United and Leicester City fighting at the top. Obviously,
00:41 Leeds didn't get automatics in the end, it was Ipswich Town with a very impressive display
00:45 of the season and then Southampton as well being relegated from the Premier League. Probably
00:49 one of the biggest triple ups of teams being relegated we've ever seen in terms of just
00:53 quality and pure spending power and the managers as well in those dugouts, so, so impressive.
00:59 So it was always going to be difficult to get into those spots in the first place. So
01:03 the fact West Brom got in the top six, impressive, disappointing, yes, they weren't able to beat
01:07 Southampton, but it just proved too much for them. The golfing quality on the pitch in
01:12 that second leg was so, so clear to see and I don't think they really stood a chance,
01:16 unfortunately. And then even if they did win that and got to Wembley, anything can happen.
01:21 We know that in the playoff finals in the past, but Leeds United look unbelievable at
01:25 the moment. I'm so surprised they didn't get that second spot and they'll probably go up
01:29 against Southampton. So, yeah, disappointing, but expected in the end.
01:34 And just on their retain list ahead of the summer, what can Albion fans expect? Who's
01:38 going to stay? Who's going to maybe, you know, have played their final game at the Hawthorns?
01:43 There's quite a few players who've played their final games and a few who've been very
01:47 good servants for the club, obviously not seen to be worth their wages in the future
01:51 or they want to go on to fresh destinations. Matt Phillips being one of them. He's been
01:56 with the club for a number of years and is impressed in the Premier League and in the
01:59 Championship as well. Very versatile, but he'll be going. Adam Reach, Nathaniel Chalaber,
02:03 Eric Peters, Jan Amvir, who came in in the winter, certainly has not impressed and settled
02:08 in like many would have hoped. Martin Kelly, who didn't even really play a game because
02:12 of serious injury and then Jovan Malcom, the young striker as well, all going. Mikey Johnson,
02:17 who was a really impressive unknown from Celtic. He won't be signing permanently unless something
02:22 dramatic changes. Andy Vyman, Callum Marshall and Pippa see the same fates. And then the
02:28 players that they've offered new deals to, I think West Brom fans will be relieved to
02:31 hear. Karl Bartley, Cedric Kipray and Alex Moet, all three of them very key players,
02:36 especially towards the end of the season. Kipray in particular has been trapped by Premier
02:41 League clubs. He's been offered a new deal. Whether he takes it or not awaits to be seen.
