00:06 understand how this could be happening to us. Today in court, my family and friends, we go up
00:15 against the might of the US government, funded by Australian taxpayers. Just a
00:23 reminder to all Australians out there that you are funding, unbeknownst to a
00:28 lot of you, the US's legal team. For the past 19 months and three days, Dan has
00:36 been in maximum security, solitary confinement in a 4 by 2 meter cell.
00:42 While he tries to prepare for his defense, he has only occasional access to
00:49 a yard and sometimes goes days without the feeling of sun on his face.
00:56 He has no access to a laptop or word processor, so deliberately forced to
01:04 prepare his defense through handwritten notes. My husband is a good man, a great
01:12 father, a wonderful friend and husband. He faces no Australian charges and has no
01:20 criminal background whatsoever. Yet he is locked up by the say-so of the United
01:27 States government in a New South Wales maximum security prison and has been for
01:32 over 19 months. Today it is 19 months and three days he has been there. He now
01:40 faces the extradition to the US. This deliberate torture has to stop today.

01:56 This was my only asset to pay for Dan's defense and to support our six children
02:06 whose father is locked away, unable to work while I try and work part-time and
02:14 cope with all the devastation and upheaval that this has caused us and
02:21 injustice that is happening. Since my property was seized we had sought legal
02:30 aid but it has been rejected. So they have done everything in their power to
02:38 make this difficult for my family. To try and break Dan and to break us. But we
02:48 will fight no matter what. We will all stand together for the rights of
02:55 Australians, for the rights of families in Australia, for all of Australian
03:00 children. We will not give up. I ask again for the Attorney-General Mark
03:08 Dreyfus to use his power to free Dan. He has the power to free Dan. I ask you all
03:19 to please let Canberra know that Australians won't stand for the US
03:25 threatening our sovereignty. This is Australia. We are Australian citizens and
03:30 we all stand together.
