00:00 In other news, the police have formed a task force to investigate the murder of a land transportation office official in Quezon City.

00:11 A woman, a high-ranking LTO official, or land transportation office, was hit by a car in the driver's seat of this van

00:22 after she was shot last night in Camias Corner KH Street, Barangay Pinahan, Quezon City

00:28 The bullets went through the driver's seat window.

00:31 The van collided with the front of the delivery truck.

00:34 The driver was seen with a motorcycle.

00:38 The motorcycle stopped in front of us.

00:41 Then it went down and shot the driver.

00:46 I heard two shots.

00:48 Then suddenly, someone jumped on my back.

00:52 I looked at the side mirror and saw the motorcycle.

00:58 The motorcycle just jumped on the side.

01:00 Then it turned around and left.

01:03 The LTO official identified the victim as Mercedita Gutierrez,

01:08 the head of the registration section of the LTO Central Office.

01:12 All vehicles registered locally or from abroad pass through her office.

01:17 The entire LTO family condemns in the strongest terms the killing of one of our own, Mercedita Gutierrez.

01:26 This is a cowardly act and we assure her family and the public of our untiring efforts to coordinate with the PNP

01:33 and closely monitor the investigation of this incident to bring all the perpetrators of this crime behind bars.

01:40 The Quezon City Police District has formed a Special Investigation Task Group called SITG Gutierrez

01:47 and will investigate the case to find out the motive and the identity of the suspect.

01:53 SITG has yet to say if Gutierrez was involved in the killing of his wife.

01:58 All the motives are being investigated.

02:00 There is still no information if he was in the van when the gunshot was fired.
