South Border is a celebrated OPM band known for their smooth sound and lush style of vocal arrangement. If you remember how their songs are conveyed by former lead vocals Brix Ferraris, Luke Mejares, Duncan Ramos, and Vince Alaras you catch the drift.
South Border gained popularity when they launched their first self-titled album in 1996. Kahit Kailan was one of the tracks in the album and quickly hit the radio airwaves. And it was epic that various radio stations named it Song Of The Year. Their other sentimental songs like Love of My Life, Rainbow, and Ikaw Nga are definitely in The Best of South Border's playlist, you could say.
A lot of names have been part of the band. But you know what they say. People come and go. As for Jay, he has always been the band's chief songwriter, arranger, producer, musical director, and the lead creative force. He keeps the band together.
