00:00 I can't believe it at first.
00:02 There are so many Thai people in this industry.
00:05 You think about it, you're from a different race,
00:06 but I was chosen.
00:09 Maybe this is really for me.
00:10 I never thought there would be someone else.
00:12 Thank you for helping.
00:15 Hello, sorry kap tokhon.
00:17 Bom shi Hanselmanikana kap.
00:18 My name is Hanselmanikan.
00:20 I'm a Filipino model here in Thailand.
00:28 When I was in the Philippines, I was a high school graduate.
00:31 I joined pageants and stuff.
00:34 I won.
00:36 When we were kids,
00:38 the K-drama was in the Philippines 10 years ago.
00:40 I imagined what if I was in that character.
00:44 Because of that, I thought,
00:46 "What if I pursue this career?"
00:49 At that time, my parents weren't okay with it.
00:53 They were like, "What time are you going home?
00:55 After school. You need to practice."
00:58 "I need to help out at home."
01:00 But when I won, they were proud.
01:02 In 2009, my parents couldn't support me in college.
01:06 We have relatives here.
01:08 So we talked about going to Thailand
01:11 to find work.
01:13 When I went here, it wasn't that easy.
01:16 When I first came here, I didn't know anything.
01:19 I adapted to their culture.
01:21 I studied the language,
01:23 how to get along with Thais,
01:27 how to communicate with them.
01:33 I have a job now.
01:34 I work at a hotel.
01:35 I'm a receptionist.
01:36 I also help manage the cafe.
01:40 I just side-hustle the modeling jobs.
01:42 I also apply.
01:43 I join groups that are looking for extra models.
01:47 I started extra jobs
01:49 until I found connections.
01:56 I like to upload pictures on social media,
01:59 especially on Facebook.
02:00 That's when I discovered
