00:00Calorie type. What is that? What mom was right?
00:03We are all unique little snowflakes and none of us are
00:07None of us are alike right in that I burn a different amount of calories than you do you burn a different amount of
00:12Calories than she does so everybody burns a different amount of calories every single day very very unique to our own
00:20Individual person when we understand the amount of calories that we burn every day
00:24It's gonna give us a whole new sense of control when it comes to manipulating our body
00:30Especially for weight loss, so how do you do that once you know your calorie type?
00:33Which we're gonna show you how to get in a few seconds. How do you actually correlate that with tactics that work for weight loss?
00:38It's simple. It's it's energy in energy out when you understand how many calories you burn well
00:42You can eat more calories, and if you go into a surplus then our body's gonna store those that energy is body fat
00:48But if you eat fewer calories, then we lose
00:51Everyone I think understands that element, but I like from and this is what you know
00:55What I love about your work is that you say depending on what type?
00:58We are certain foods work better, and that's the part. I never understood
01:02I get the science part and the show is gonna be heavy on that
01:05But the fact that their tactics that we are hearing day in and day out from people depending where they are in their calorie type
01:10That means something so it's really understand metabolism. That's how you calculate it normally
01:14They hook you up with a mask in your face. They they take all the oxygen out of your lungs. They analyze it
01:19It's hard to do that at home
01:20Hard to do that here in the studio too, but there are kind of these formulas that do work that pretty accurately calculate your calories
01:27They're sort of long and complicated. We're gonna put a really good version on dr. Oz calm
01:31So anyone who's got a phone out right now go out there
01:33You can check it out right this moment, but today Chris is devising even simpler three-step equation
01:39Easy to do it's pretty good approximation
01:41So everybody if you don't mind pull out your phone and get on the calculator so start off with your weight
01:45Whatever it is only you need to see this you don't gotta tell anybody else. I'm gonna be the average woman all right
01:50I feel very feminine today. So 165 pounds right and then Chris you got to do yours. Also. Yep, okay cool, so I am
01:58185 pounds what do we do now? So then we're gonna multiply your body weight times eight. This is super simple
02:04Okay, so multiply it by eight good and then add
02:07200 okay
02:09So my body weight times eight plus two hundred add 200 simple as that and it's gonna give us a safe
02:16approximation of your calorie type
02:18And if you exercise
02:20Let's say you walk for half an hour a day right well
02:23Did you get extra calories or not for that you do so if you walk for say a half an hour a day?
02:27You're gonna add a hundred extra calories, which is great. Actually. I know a lot of you aren't walking
02:32But but I'm just gonna do that flexibility
02:34Yeah, people who out there moves to make so I'm gonna add a hundred because I walk around a lot in the show and everything
02:39Else I got my cardio in this morning as well cool. What do you have?
02:43I'm at 1780 right here and what this calorie type is
02:47It's a really safe approximation of the calories that you guys can burn that you can consume every single day
02:53That's gonna put you into a weight loss
02:56Phase where you know that you know that if you're eating that amount of calories you will lose weight all right
03:01So let me see if I put my number 1620 which I stand for the average person out there
03:06I'll say 1620, but let me go to the audience. Let me see some numbers here. This is from your phones put them up there
03:121700
03:141380 you look sort of the same it to be sort of a big difference. I'm surprised. What do you have 17?
03:19It's one another 1720
03:211680 well you guys are closer to each other
03:242028
03:25Short the camera if you don't mind
03:282000
03:292028 yes, so we got a pretty big spread here. We have folks that are low middle and high now
03:35I do want everyone to memorize that number you have
03:37Whatever happens to me just memorize that and I'm gonna go over here and talk to somebody I asked her to share
03:43This next guest her food journal with us and Chris looked at the journal and calculated out
03:48How much she's eating so Amy welcome to the show? Thank you for having me hi Chris, so
03:53these are your foods that you've been eating and
03:57Chris when you added it up. I understand it was about
04:011867 calories
04:02You've got the brands and everything really did the math
04:04But of course when we were looking at her calorie type that was a little bit higher because her calorie type was sitting around
04:101760s my calories. Yes. Yep, but I was looking at the foods that she was eating and they're just their average foods
04:16That yeah, I tell you what, I've looked at a lot of meal plans and that was beautiful
04:19I see that all the time, but there's one thing that was out of place
04:23So I had to make a couple changes. Yeah, just to be clear for everybody
04:26She's she's taking in a hundred more calories than your calorie type would allow. Yes. Okay. So what do you do?
04:33So because she was taking in a hundred more calories than her calorie type
04:36All I wanted to do was make one small change
04:38I don't need to go in and make this crazy change to her diet plan and
04:42Completely throw her off because that's gonna cause a major life change
04:45Instead all I wanted to do was just simply remove one thing and with when I remove that one thing
04:50I know without a shadow of a doubt that she's gonna start losing weight and it was that so go back to that's it
04:56Well, that was it. I saw she had some cheese crackers on there. I was what are these cheese crackers?
05:02I have him as a snack
05:03I have a two-year-old and we're always out and about and I figured if he's eating it
05:06I can eat it not realizing how many calories were actually in it. So when you took it out, what happened?
05:11I took it out. I lost over a pounds in just a couple of days
05:15Simple as that
05:18I'm very surprising. I'm very surprised throw some walking in now and now it's like I added structure to it walking
05:25eliminating just a little thing and
05:27We're on you surprise. That seems like a big difference. This is guys. This is science
05:31This is really easy stuff and you know, I love about this one small change
05:35She's simply removed one thing in the day
05:37You don't feel it's not like you don't feel any less satisfied in the day, but she lost a pound now
05:43Multiply that by 52 weeks in a year do the math all of a sudden. Don't do that for yourself
05:49You don't need to lose that much but one small change can make a huge difference
05:54And that's what weight loss and transformation is really all about. Thank you for watching
