00:00 I have an incredible collection of...
00:02 I actually know what your most incredible collection of is,
00:04 but it's not safe for this conversation, so...
00:06 I want to play this game just in regular life.
00:09 [music]
00:13 Hi, my name is Kirsten Bangsness.
00:15 And Aisha Tyler, and...
00:16 We are playing How Well Do You Know Your Co-Star with Marie Claire.
00:20 My favorite movie ever is...
00:22 A, Ghostbusters 2,
00:25 B, Rushmore,
00:28 or C, Undercover Brother.
00:31 [laughs]
00:33 Oh my god, I'm already so delighted by this.
00:37 That's a really tough one.
00:39 But Ghostbusters 2 is not a good film.
00:41 And Rushmore is like, you know,
00:45 a great film, but just feels a little twee for you,
00:48 so I'm going to go Undercover Brother.
00:50 [laughs]
00:52 You are... It's very close and it makes sense.
00:55 You are wrong.
00:56 It is the top three, so it was difficult.
00:59 Was difficult.
01:00 But Rushmore is what the inside of my brain looks like
01:03 on a very good day.
01:05 It is my favorite movie.
01:06 My first job was...
01:08 Selling Red Delicious apples at a flea market.
01:11 Selling amps to forlorn dads at Pacific Stereo.
01:15 Or as backup singer for Bay Area Supergroup,
01:18 Tony, Tony, Tony.
01:19 This is tricky, because you could do any of those.
01:22 Very, very tricky.
01:24 I want it to be three really badly.
01:26 It's not three.
01:27 It was amps.
01:28 Damn it.
01:29 [laughs]
01:30 All of these things also had some basis in truth.
01:33 I definitely was not a backup singer for Bay Area Supergroup,
01:35 Tony, Tony, Tony.
01:36 I did hang out in a Pacific Stereo quite a bit
01:39 when I was a kid because it was right next to my apartment building.
01:41 [laughs]
01:42 And so inadvertently, I might have been persuasive,
01:44 but I sold apples at the flea market.
01:47 I had a little stand when I was five.
01:49 And I sold them for a quarter.
01:52 [laughs]
01:53 I have an incredible collection of A-band pins.
01:56 B-stickers.
01:58 C-cat toys.
01:59 D-all of the above.
02:01 Incredible.
02:02 Oh, man.
02:03 Stickers, band pins, or cat toys.
02:06 Oh, this is so hard.
02:11 I've never seen any of your band pins.
02:13 I know you have a lot of band pins,
02:15 but I don't feel like I've seen this collection.
02:17 You do have an insane number of cat toys.
02:19 I actually know what your most incredible collection of is,
02:21 but it's not safe for this conversation.
02:23 Cat toys?
02:24 [buzzer]
02:25 Band pins.
02:26 But you can't walk around like--
02:27 How am I ever seeing a band pin?
02:28 Not one band pin.
02:29 You just don't look.
02:30 They're always on a jacket.
02:32 I've got every band we've mentioned I have,
02:35 including random Saturday Night Live spoof bands
02:38 that don't exist.
02:39 My first concert was A, Tracy Chapman and the Indigo Girls,
02:44 B, Prince and Vanity Six, or C, the Scorpions and Bon Jovi.
02:50 Oh!
02:51 Oh!
02:53 I know for a fact that it has got to be--
02:59 it's either B or C, and I'm going to just lean into my hope
03:03 and say B.
03:05 I really wish I'd seen Prince and Vanity Six in concert.
03:07 That would be a great show.
03:08 I loved Prince.
03:09 You saw Scorpion.
03:10 You did.
03:11 I saw the Scorpions.
03:12 I saw the Scorpions.
03:13 I love the Horses and the Bon Jovi.
03:14 [laughs]
03:15 My first concert was A, David Bowie,
03:19 B, Whitney Houston, or C, Duran Duran.
03:24 Oh, man, this is such a hard one,
03:26 because I know that you are a big fan of all those people.
03:28 I'm going to say Duran Duran.
03:29 I know you love Duran Duran.
03:30 I know you recently seen Duran Duran.
03:32 That was my third concert.
03:33 Duran Duran was my third concert, Whitney Houston
03:35 was my second concert.
03:36 My first concert was David Bowie with Suzy and the Banshees.
03:39 Oh, that's amazing.
03:40 Oh, I'm very jealous.
03:41 I'm very, very jealous of you.
03:43 I once traveled to which country for the sole purpose
03:47 of eating in a restaurant?
03:48 A, France, B, Ireland, C, Sweden.
03:54 Sweden!
03:55 Yeah, damn it all!
03:56 Yeah!
03:57 Yeah, you should know that one.
03:58 I want to play this game just in regular life.
04:01 You went there, and you ate, like, organ meats?
04:03 Yes, pigeon liver, tiny little pigeon livers,
04:06 and, like, weird fermented things.
04:07 My first job was at A, the school library,
04:12 B, fabrics and things, or C, Hofs Hutt restaurant hostess.
04:19 Damn it all to hell.
04:24 I wanted to be fabrics and things.
04:26 I just wanted to be fabrics and things,
04:28 because you're a very crafty person.
04:29 Even though it's probably not the answer,
04:30 I'm going to stick with it.
04:31 I'm getting a lot of nods out of you.
04:32 No.
04:33 I loved the ribbon so much.
04:35 And I was so bad at it that when I would cut fabric,
04:38 you'd get an extra, like, two feet,
04:39 because I just couldn't keep it straight.
04:41 You're off.
04:42 Which is an analogy for the rest of my life.
04:44 I just couldn't keep it straight.
04:46 So, yes, it was fabrics and things.
04:48 Oh, my God, I can't believe I got that right.
04:49 I have a tattoo of a constellation.
04:52 Is it A, Virgo, B, Cassiopeia, or C, Ursa Major?
05:00 I think it's Cassiopeia.
05:03 That's a really good guess.
05:04 Yeah, it's Ursa Major.
05:06 Incorrect.
05:07 It's Ursa Major.
05:08 It's Ursa Major.
05:09 Damn it.
05:10 Damn it.
05:11 I really hate A, carrots, B, truffles, or C, sparkling water.
05:19 I'm going to go with truffles.
05:21 I have a gag reflex to carrots.
05:23 Raw carrots.
05:24 Really?
05:25 Yeah, I can have roasted carrots.
05:27 I go on a mission to try to eat carrots,
05:29 but actually, like, raw carrots, like, make me, like, great.
05:32 I absolve you from any feeling of obligation to ever eat carrots.
05:36 I don't know why you're on a mission to eat carrots.
05:38 I feel like there are other vegetables in the vegetable kingdom.
05:40 Is this my I-Class prescription?
05:42 It's too late, Kirsten.
05:45 My favorite food is A, pasta, B, french fries, C, wine,
05:52 which I consider a food.
05:54 Why?
05:56 See, I tricked you there, because it's definitely french fries.
05:59 It is?
06:00 It's french fries, yes.
06:01 I didn't know that.
06:02 To the point that if you order french fries and you look away,
06:04 you will not have any french fries if I'm at the table.
06:07 Right, it's like a compulsion.
06:09 We had all been talking and interacting and going out to dinner
06:11 and doing all kinds of stuff while the show was away,
06:14 but I just think everybody just came back, like, super fired up,
06:18 even better at our jobs than we were before,
06:21 and with this just joyfulness of, like,
06:25 we can't believe we get a second bite at this apple.
06:27 So it's just been really easy and fun and electric,
06:31 and then it went really fast.
06:33 It was this weird mix of, like, new, but I know this,
06:37 but you feel so completely safe with the people you're with.
06:40 So for me, it just felt like that,
06:44 because it is a different show, but it's the same show.
06:47 We have a lady event.
06:49 Ladies only.
06:51 It's called Hot Tub Wine Machine,
06:54 and essentially it's just four girls drinking wine in a hot tub
06:57 for a very long time.
06:58 It's awesome.
06:59 We've sat in that, which this I think is unusual,
07:02 in Hollywood in general.
07:03 We've sat there and been like, "How much do you get paid?
07:05 How much do you get paid?"
07:06 We are girls' girls, and that is very important to me,
07:09 and it's a value I hold, and I know Aisha holds the same,
07:13 and, like, we all hold that.
07:15 So it's a really affirming place to be a lady.
07:18 This has been Aisha Tyler and...
07:20 Kirsten Bengistus.
07:21 From Criminal Minds Evolution,
07:22 which is streaming right now on Paramount+.
07:25 And be sure to subscribe to Marie Claire.
