00:00 Hello OG, I'm Nicole and welcome to our minimalist vacation villa here in Baroro, La Union.
00:05 Let's go!
00:06 So the story of Elisea started because one of the co-founders, he has a big family and they love traveling.
00:28 Sometimes they would have experiences wherein they would still look or long for that hotel grade service.
00:35 So he thought about why not come up with a business that would cater both convenience of staying in Airbnb
00:43 but enjoying the hotel grade quality of service and that's when Elisea was born.
00:54 Elisea means full of life. For all the guests we've had over the past months, they have found that same meaning
01:01 when they visit or stay in Elisea. We want this to be an oasis for them where they can just rethink or just be happy.
01:10 We had to renovate it because of course we had to modernize the design. This used to be a house for an old couple.
01:21 So it was decent, of course it was very beautiful as it was before but it had a very residential feel to it.
01:28 So we just wanted to design it in a way that's kid-friendly, family-friendly.
01:34 If you can observe in our rooms, we want to believe it's also PWD friendly.
01:38 We wanted to make space for the activities that families would share in this house.
01:43 We wanted to make sure that they would have enough common space for them to you know, just be together,
01:48 have a nice place to stay at in La Union and of course enjoy the beachfront view and the sunset that this particular area or property can offer.
01:59 For the design, we wanted something that's just refreshing and natural. It has the beauty of the natural light.
02:11 We made sure of that through the bay view windows.
02:17 The pool right here that you see, the jacuzzi, that used to be like a dirty kitchen before we renovated this place.
02:23 So we want to have that minimalist, not just because it's on trend now, but because we feel that for our first villa,
02:31 it needs to be something that is timeless or at least acceptable to the palate of whoever would visit the villa or would be here.
02:41 It's something that's not safe, but something that's more appreciated these days, especially for a beach house.
02:49 You would want something as refreshing as just having like minimal colors and the natural light.
02:55 For the outdoor areas, we do have a lanai here. The lanai is just a place where you can just hang out or just listen to music.
03:08 We do have Sonos speakers right here, so easily you can connect to it if you just want to chill by the pool or just hang out by the beach or just watch the sunset.
03:18 We also have an outdoor grill, which guests can use for free if they want to share a meal with barbecue or anything.
03:26 We also have a jacuzzi right here and a pool, which is by the way, very, very kid-friendly and very safe.
03:32 The kiddie pool is just 1.5 feet. The adult pool is just 3.5 feet. Very safe. That is to ensure no one would drown.
03:40 Going in, we do have a spacious living room, which is comfortable or cool enough for you to enjoy whenever it's sunny.
03:51 It's too hot in La Union, especially during the summer that you don't want to go out.
03:55 We Filipinos would never go out when it's super, super hot.
03:59 Our dining area, which can comfortably sit 10 guests at a time, you can see that it's connected to the island counter where you can just also work or just hang out for breakfast.
04:11 It has the height of a bar actually, just to make it different than the usual island counters that you see.
04:27 For our kitchen, it's fully equipped. You can cook, you can bring whatever food you want, prefer to eat.
04:33 There's a fridge, there's a dishwasher. It's fully stacked.
04:37 Even chefs, we've had guests who had personal chefs with them and they've enjoyed this kitchen so much.
04:43 We have three guest rooms in this villa and the main bedroom has an en-suite toilet and bath.
04:56 We do have MSD for our mattresses, hotel-grade linens.
05:00 And it's the only room also that has a safety deposit box, of course, for your valuables and also has a smart TV inside.
05:10 The second bedroom, we call it the pink room.
05:15 It also has an en-suite toilet and bath.
05:25 And with a smart TV as well.
05:27 And the third bedroom has two full-size beds.
05:38 And the toilet and bath is in the common area.
05:46 And towels, of course, we do provide that in the toilet and bath.
05:52 We also have five-star quality toiletries. And when I say five-star, we're talking about Malan and Getz for our brand.
05:59 We do provide dental kits, everything, face towels, hand towels, you name it.
06:05 We also have hair blowers.
06:07 We try as much as possible to give that hotel-quality service and this is our way of showing it through our amenities,
06:15 which is specially highlighted in the linens, in the towels, everything.
06:19 [Music]
06:28 The property is more or less 900 square meters.
06:32 We strictly follow our property lines, meaning we don't go beyond whatever is in our titles.
06:47 Under Alicia's sustainability efforts, we try as much as we can, whatever initiatives that can help the environment.
06:54 We started with solar water heater. It's very sunny in La Union, so we want to capitalize on at least whatever the sun can offer us.
07:03 We've not had any problems with our heating systems here. Our guests enjoy it.
07:08 Number two, we also invested in leach fields in La Union where we are right now.
07:13 We don't have a proper drainage system, so the way we address that is through water recycling,
07:18 meaning our grey water system, it's recycled to water the plants.
07:23 For hotels, you can see smaller bottles. We opted not to go with that because of the waste that goes with it.
07:32 That's why you can see in our toilet and bath, there are three dispensers there that you can just use,
07:37 and we just refill it instead of throwing away.
07:40 And we also encourage our guests to minimize the use of water or the consumption of water.
07:46 We encourage them to only request for towels or change in linens whenever it's really, really necessary.
07:51 There were many, many things that we only learned along the way.
07:59 The usual site issues or design issues, the troubleshooting of that, and then operations.
08:05 Of course, hospitality is no easy industry, so you would get all sorts of compliments and sometimes complaints.
08:13 It's been amazing experiencing that for the past couple of months,
08:16 and we're just really, really thankful that the worst part is over, I guess,
08:21 because it was very different when we were just starting out.
08:23 There's a phase that you call "punch listing," and all the problems would come out,
08:28 like leaks or problems with the sewage or salty water or problem with the water treatment in the pool.
08:38 So we had all sorts of those things when we were just starting out.
08:42 Future plans for Alisea. Well, at this moment, we already have three properties in La Union.
08:56 I think in the next couple of years, we're going to expand also in Zambales or Batangas.
09:02 And hopefully in the nearest future, we can already tell you about the properties that are soon going to be built there.
09:12 We're inviting you to visit Alisea. You can check out Airbnb. We're right there. You can look for us.
09:22 Our rates vary depending if it's on a weekday, on a weekend, if it's a holiday or not.
09:28 You can also follow us on social media, our Instagram or Facebook.
09:32 You can do direct bookings with us, by the way, and we can give you greater discounts if it's outside of Airbnb.
09:38 We're looking forward to welcoming you guys to Alisea.
09:41 So that ends our mini tour, and we hope you enjoyed watching this video.
09:49 We can't wait to see you at Alisea. Thank you for watching. Bye!
