00:00Well, it doesn't feel like it, but we are heading into summer. Brits up and down the
00:05country will be packing suitcases and making plans to get to an airport. But for Londoners,
00:13we don't have just one main airport to get to. We have several dotted around the capital.
00:19So we've put together an airport guide on the easiest way to get to London Gatwick,
00:24Heathrow and other information about smaller airports as well. For those heading long haul,
00:32Heathrow and Gatwick are the more likely airports to fly from, although short haul flights also
00:38leave from both of these airports too. London Heathrow is the capital's largest airport
00:44and is now accessible on London's newest underground line, the Elizabeth Line. With
00:49easy connections, Heathrow is now the most accessible airport. And despite minor delays
00:54frequenting on the Lizzie Line, it's still the best bet when travelling to Heathrow Airport.
01:01If you don't fancy the tube though, the National Express and other coach companies offer travel
01:06to the airport. The same can be said for London Gatwick, with coaches actually running to
01:11and from them both. And guys, you really need to get away. This weather is not acceptable
01:16for May. Gatwick is technically just outside of London, closer to Crawley than the capital,
01:21but it's very easy to get to from South London and Victoria. It's not accessible by the underground,
01:27but hopping on a train from Victoria Station or South London makes it easy enough. Although
01:33Heathrow and Gatwick are the biggest airports in London and most frequently used, there
01:38are actually three others in Greater London. One of which, the smallest, is located in
01:44the city itself. And you can guess that by the name, London City Airport. This airport
01:50is used for short haul flights and charter planes too. Most Londoners won't have ventured
01:55to City Airport, but if they do, it's easily accessible on the TFL network, whether it
02:00be by London Underground or DLR. Although many won't have visited City Airport, they
02:06might well have gone to Stansted or Luton. These airports often offer cheaper fares to
02:12Europe and can be reached by trains or coaches. All airports in London have short stay car
02:18parks and most of them have long stay car parks too, but always check online to make
02:23sure they are open. Now if the worst case scenario hits and public transport isn't a
02:27viable option, your coach is cancelled, there's strikes taking place, then Londoners can always
02:32order a black cab or an Uber, but that is a slightly more expensive option and surely
02:37you'd rather save that money for when you're on holiday. For travel news, whether it be
02:42airport related or rail disruption, head to Londonworld.com. Guys, this weather is not
02:48acceptable for me, if you can afford it, pack your bags and head away.
