00:00 I'm blind. I'm gonna quiz her on what I look like. I do know what you look like. Question one
00:05 What color are my eyes? Like brown. What color is my hair?
00:10 like brown
00:14 What color is my beard?
00:16 Well, I feel like your beard's a bit more ginger. Yeah, is that right?
00:22 If not ginger, just got a bit of ginger in it. As long as I can't see it, it's okay. How many piercings do I have?
00:29 Can I feel them? Nope.
00:31 I literally have no idea. I'm gonna go with six.
00:37 Was that right? Yeah.
00:39 Are you high fiveing me?
00:41 Yeah.
00:43 Blind girlfriend goals. Describe my toes.
00:45 They're beautiful. Of course I'll tell you that.
00:47 What color is my watch?
00:49 Black.
00:51 I know that shit.
00:53 I'm blind, I'm just a genius.
00:55 Which nostril do I have first?
00:57 This one?
00:59 Yeah.
01:01 Story time.
01:03 So I'm blind. How did that happen?
01:05 I was born pretty normal.
01:07 I had glasses from the age of about seven.
01:09 And then when I was nine, I was diagnosed with glaucoma and had surgery two months after that diagnosis.
01:17 Fam is here now.
01:19 Hiya.
01:21 So after that diagnosis, my life became a little bit different.
01:23 I was in hospital all the time. I wasn't going to school. I lost all my friends.
01:29 Anyway, as soon as I started integrating back into school life when I was about 14,
01:33 then they discovered that my cornea was deteriorating in my right eye.
01:37 I then had a surgery. I then had a transplant.
01:41 And that's for the cornea, which is like the front of the eye.
01:43 And that was really successful and it gave me some vision back and it was amazing.
01:47 And then it rejected three years later.
01:49 Oh, fuck.
01:51 And then I lost my vision in my right eye.
01:53 So right eye, boom, out of the picture.
01:57 Losing my vision in my left eye for the past two years.
02:01 The way I lost that was very difficult.
02:03 It started off one day, I slept a really long amount of time and then I woke up and I couldn't see.
02:09 And it just started off with like I would get one day like that every few months.
02:13 And then it would be every couple months, every month, every week, every day.
02:17 It was a really difficult way to lose my vision because every time I felt like I was adapting to being blind,
02:21 Jesus had to remind me how sad everything is.
02:25 But there is hope.
02:28 Doctors do want to do a transplant in my left eye and that could give me a little bit of vision back.
02:33 However, it's not something they can do at the moment.
02:36 For everyone saying that she's not blind.
02:38 I'm on the lift with this other couple.
02:40 Racing that other wedding couple.
02:42 Wait.
02:43 Do you want to just start the episode again?
02:45 Rewind.
02:47 [Humming]
02:54 Right, you're going to have to explain that to me again.
02:57 Eight months into the engagement.
03:00 Game changing emergency.
03:03 Gloria.
03:04 I remember all of this, Mark.
03:06 Remember these?
03:08 I can't see.
03:10 Pardon, Valerie.
03:13 Because I have an audio description.
03:15 All the worst couples have a really ugly man in them.
03:19 Wait, where are we now?
03:20 Is it a different time?
03:22 He's an idiot.
03:23 I hate him.
03:25 Wait, what was awkward?
03:26 Wait, say that again.
03:28 I can't imagine that.
03:30 What's going on?
03:31 Where's my water?
03:33 Where is it?
03:37 I feel like a superhero sometimes.
