00:28During the Dr. Deborah Birx, Donald Trump's own COVID-19 advisor, America unnecessarily

00:34lost hundreds of thousands of people because of the recklessness and indifference of Donald

00:39Trump and his administration.

00:41Now the people who brought you the political big lie, claiming absurdly that Trump won

00:46the 2020 election, which he lost by more than 7 million votes, now bring you the medical

00:52big lie, making the outlandish claim that Dr. Fauci was responsible for causing COVID-19.

00:59Using the select subcommittee as a platform for this disinformation, House Republicans

01:04now find themselves in the familiar position where their own investigation debunks their

01:09runaway political rhetoric.

01:11Just like the broader committee's impeachment drive proved only that there were no presidential

01:16crimes, much less high crimes and misdemeanors attributable to Joe Biden, the investigation

01:20of Dr. Fauci shows he is an honorable public servant who has devoted his entire career

01:25to the public health and the public interest, and he is not a comic book supervillain.

01:31He did not fund research to create the COVID-19 pandemic.

01:35He did not lie to Congress about gain-of-function research in Wuhan, and he did not organize

01:42a lab leak suppression campaign.

01:44Today, Dr. Fauci's testimony, along with the thousands of pages of documents and dozens

01:49of closed-door testimony provided to House Republicans as part of the COVID origins

01:55investigation, will dispel these hysterical claims and reveal that the people bowing down

02:01to a twice-impeached convicted felon who told Americans to inject themselves with bleach

02:07now want you to believe not only a big political lie, but a big medical lie, too.

02:14I hope that this committee will be able to correct all of the propaganda and disinformation

02:18today, and we will be able to actually return to what the good ranking member has said,

02:25which is an authentic investigation of the origins of the pandemic.
