00:00 In need of a nature getaway?
00:02 The Frim Forest Skywalk is the perfect spot for you.
00:06 Located in Kuala Lumpur at the Kepung Botanical Gardens,
00:09 construction began in December 2018
00:12 before the skywalk opened to the public on Merdeka Day in 2020.
00:16 With a suspended walkway spanning 250 meters,
00:20 visitors can take in the gorgeous view of the forest
00:23 from high above the park grounds.
00:25 Before you climb up the steps,
00:27 a guide will give you a brief history of the skywalk
00:30 as well as some rules to follow,
00:32 such as not leaning on the rails.
00:34 The skywalk itself features 8 bridges and 9 watchtowers
00:39 that range from 18 meters to 50 meters high.
00:42 With the highest tower sitting at 141 meters above sea level,
00:47 this is definitely not for those who have a fear of heights.
00:50 Still, if you're willing to brave the metal stairs to the top,
00:54 you will get the best seat in the house
00:57 from which to take in the breathtaking forest view
01:00 and city skyline.
01:01 Assuming it's a clear day, that is.
01:03 If the Malaysian heat is too much,
01:06 sign up for the night tour,
01:08 which offers a totally different experience.
01:10 Do note that this is on a pre-booking basis
01:13 and is only available on weekends.
01:15 And that was the Frim Forest Skywalk.
