Transcript
00:00 Hello again, Connor Gormley here, a trainee reporter for Sussex World and this is our daily news bulletin
00:06 where I run you through all of our biggest stories from across both East and West Sussex today.
00:11 A new seaside themed soft play centre has opened for business in Worthing, featuring a transparent climbing wall,
00:17 hanging snakes, an infinity mirror and an interactive gaming screen.
00:21 The Lighthouse at Offington Park Methodist Church opened over the weekend and it's now accepting bookings
00:26 for 90 minute sessions and birthday parties. The three-storey play area is enough for 25 children,
00:32 so no one has to go without and there's plenty of space for toddlers and babies too.
00:37 Meanwhile in Shoreham, a print company is going into administration this week,
00:41 unfortunately leaving 126 employees out of a job. Gemini Print Southern said the decision was made
00:47 in response to a range of factors, including rising costs and the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic.
00:53 In a statement, company heads apologised to customers and staff, claiming to have been placed in an impossible situation.
00:59 Work on a Pret-a-Manger, also in Worthing, is almost complete if new pictures are anything to go by.
01:04 The new pictures show the frontage and signage in place on the eatery,
01:07 which is set to open at the BP petrol station on Brighton Road later this year.
01:11 It's the second branch of the cafe set to open in Worthing, after a town centre eatery opened last year.
01:17 That's all from me for today, but for more news, interviews and pictures,
01:21 make sure to check out Sussex World, our website, follow us on social media
01:25 and buy your local paper each and every week. Thank you very much.
