00:00Switchhead Silence, a band that thrives in the world of modern metal music.

00:24Rising from the darkness to the peak of popularity with brutal distortion and thrilling vocals.

00:32But like most stories behind metal bands, their history is full of unexpected surprises and tragedies.

00:44Switchhead Silence was formed in Riverside, California in 2002.

00:55The founding members include Mitch Locker as vocalist Chris Garza,

01:01Rich S as guitar, Mike Modkin as bass, and Josh Goddard as drummer.

01:11Initially, they developed into a deathcore genre that is on the rise,

01:17creating a voice that combines the elements of death metal and hardcore.

01:25In 2007, Switchhead Silence released their debut album entitled The Clean Sing.

01:34This album marks an important step in their career,

01:39with songs like Unanswered and No Vity For A Coward, which attracts the attention of the metal audience.

01:49The Clean Sing managed to sit at the top of the Billboard Headseekers chart.

01:56Switchhead Silence is getting more and more international with the following albums such as

02:06No Time To Bleed in 2009 and The Black Crown in 2011.

02:14They established themselves as one of the most prominent forces in the deathcore genre.

02:22The leader of the vocalist Mitch Locker, with his growl that turned it into this band's characteristic.

02:33However, in 2012, a tragedy struck this band when Mitch Locker died of a motorcycle accident.

02:52Even so, the band members decided to continue with Eddie Hermida from Owl, Soul, and Varys taking over as a vocalist.
