00:19 disrupting the movement of animals
00:21 and threatening their survival.
00:23 The massive infrastructure project,
00:25 the Wallace-Annenberg Wildlife Crossing,
00:28 costs $100 million, funded by a mix
00:31 of public and private money,
00:33 and it's expected to open in early 2026.
00:37 Now reportedly, 200 people are killed
00:40 in wildlife vehicle crashes every year,
00:43 and another 26,000 are injured.
00:46 And animal collisions cost Americans $10 billion annually.
