00:00I am happy to say that the Prime Minister's first decision yesterday was for the benefit of the farmers.
00:15He has decided to implement the Farmers' Honour Act.
00:23The Government of the Indian People's Party has not left any stone unturned in the welfare of the farmers.
00:29Now the Government of India will speedily move forward in this work under the leadership of the Prime Minister.
00:39The Prime Minister has decided to double the number of farmers.
00:44The Government of India will speedily move forward in this work under the leadership of the Prime Minister.
00:54We will take every possible step for the welfare of the farmers.
01:09In politics, we are for the welfare of our country and the welfare of the people.
01:15The welfare of the farmers and the welfare of the people is the worship of God for us.
01:21Myself and my team, my ministers are here.
01:27As a team, we will work together with the officials.
01:31We will do our best and try our best.
01:35Today, I am going to hand over the resolution to my officials in a meeting.
01:42In which, the Indian People's Party has given the guarantee of Modi to take any step for the welfare of the farmers.
01:55The work will start from today to complete it.
02:00And we all together will join together for the welfare of the farmers.
02:15I would like to thank Narendra Modi.
02:19As far as taking charge and the department is concerned,
02:24our concept has been there since childhood.
02:27Work is worship.
02:32And when we got the department and opened the envelope,
02:36we saw about micro, small and medium industries.
02:45We were happy to see that the department is good.
02:49Everyone was going to the Prime Minister.
02:52We also did the work of meeting him.
02:55We are very inspired by what the Prime Minister said.
02:59He said that we have given you the department of our vision.
03:07Our vision is the upliftment of the poor.
03:10Where there is no light of development, there is light.
03:14You can do a lot through this department.
03:17That's why we gave you this department.
03:20We understood this from all the statements of the department.
03:28And we consider ourselves fortunate that Narendra Modi considers us worthy.
03:36And why not?
03:38He is the only Prime Minister and leader in India,
03:42who knows about the needs of all parts of the country,
03:46whether it is brick, stone, animal, animal.
03:49He knows about everyone and what is the need to serve.
03:55And according to that, he works.
03:57Then after 62 years,
04:00I got a chance to make the government of India for the third time.
04:05And I got a chance to make him the Prime Minister.
04:09That's why I think that his vision is that
04:13the poor, where there is no light,
04:17or where there is less light,
04:19we should bring light to those places.
04:22And in that regard,
04:24micro, small and medium enterprises,
04:27this is an industry,
04:29will play an important role.
04:31I think so.
04:32I have come here to understand the details.
04:36And we are also fortunate that
04:39Madam has come with us as the Prime Minister.
04:43She is also a rich politician with experience.
04:47And I think that our work will be
04:50in a cooperative nature with each other.
04:55And we will try to take this department to the next level of development.
05:01This is the dream of our Prime Minister.
05:03Sir, can you tell us about the 100-day plan?
05:05What is planned?
05:06Nothing yet.
05:07When we came to the department,
05:09we came to understand all the things of the department.
05:11We will understand.
05:12And at the same time,
05:14we will make a plan according to the order of the Prime Minister.
05:21So, let me begin by saying that
05:25it's for me an immense honour,
05:28a very great privilege,
05:30to be once again given the responsibility
05:34of leading the Ministry of External Affairs.
05:39You all know that in the last term,
05:42this ministry actually performed exceptionally well.
05:48It rose to many challenges.
05:51We delivered where the G20 Presidency was concerned.
05:56We took on the challenges of COVID-19,
06:00including the Mande Bharat mission
06:03and vaccine Maitri supplies.
06:06We also were the centre of crucial operations
06:12like Operation Ganga and Operation Kaveri.
06:16So, quite apart from the normal diplomacy,
06:21I think I really deem it a matter of great satisfaction
06:27that in the last decade,
06:29this ministry, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi,
06:33has become a very people-centric ministry.
06:36You can see that in terms of our improved passport services,
06:42in terms of the community welfare fund support
06:46that we give to Indians abroad,
06:49in terms of how we respond to different needs of Indians
06:56when they leave our shores or preparing to leave our shores,
06:59and the manner in which we work with other ministries
07:03in getting investments, in promoting our exports,
07:08in enhancing our tourism flows.
07:12So, this has been the record so far.
07:16Looking ahead, definitely, I think,
07:19the two axioms that the Prime Minister has given us,
07:23Bharat first and Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,
07:26these will be the two guiding axioms of the Indian foreign policy.
07:30The responsibility that the Prime Minister has given us,
07:34I have come here with full honesty,
07:37full hard work and full dedication.
07:44Food processing is a big responsibility.
07:47And I believe that the future belongs to food processing.
07:52This is a department, this is an area,
07:56which has not yet been fully explored compared to other countries.
08:03The scope is more than the limit.
08:06If you look at the food processing worldwide,
08:09if you look at the involvement,
08:11compared to that, in India,
08:14there is not even 2-3% involvement.
08:18In the future, where there is a lot of scope,
08:22this is a department which will directly help the farmers.
08:29Which will increase the income of the farmers.
08:32With this aim, our central government is trying to move forward.
08:36Agriculture is our main country.
08:39And in such a situation, my own vision,
08:42in which I have always mentioned that
08:44there should be as many processing units as possible.
08:47So that the farmers can get the right price for their production.
08:52So that there can be growth in their income.
08:55In such a situation, I believe that
08:57this department will play an important role in the coming days.
09:01Yesterday, when I was talking to the Prime Minister in an informal meeting,
09:05I was told that this department will take us to new heights in the coming days.
09:13If you look abroad,
09:15in other countries,
09:17more work is being done through processing units.
09:21In such a situation, we have still not been able to move forward in processing.
09:26So with this hope,
09:28learning from my leader, my father,
09:30respected Ram Vilas Paswan,
09:32the department that he took responsibility for,
09:35he took that department to new heights.
09:39And not because of the heights,
09:41but because he connected it directly with the people
09:44and made an important contribution in the schemes for the welfare of the poor.
09:50Learning from him, moving forward with his thoughts,
09:53and fulfilling the determination of the Prime Minister,
09:56the determination of a developed country,
09:58I see an important role of this department.
10:01Chirag, what is the roadmap for the next 100 days of your ministry?
10:04Because the Prime Minister is repeatedly talking about the 100-day roadmap.
10:07Give me at least 100 hours.
10:09Let me understand the department first.
10:12It will be very hasty to say anything now.
10:15After this, we have held a briefing meeting.
10:18Let us study it once.
10:19Let us understand it thoroughly.
10:21I will keep the 100-day roadmap in front of you in detail.
10:24Chirag, one thing.
10:26Earlier to that,
10:27India Alliance was saying that they were calling India leaders to make them Prime Ministers.
10:31Now they are saying that it is Jhunjhuna Vibhag,
10:33which the Alliance partners are getting.
10:35I mean, Bihar has got 8 ministries, but still they are trying.
10:39Well, I have said this repeatedly,
10:41that it is not about the ministry,
10:43it is about the minister.
10:45It is never about a government,
10:47it is about the person who is leading it.
10:49It is never about an alliance,
10:50it is about the person who is leading it.
10:52It is always about the Netratukarta,
10:54the person who is leading the thing.
10:56I have given an example of my father.
10:59The responsibilities that were given to him by the departments,
11:02the way he worked in that department
11:05and worked to make that department known.
11:08I think that all the partners that have been given to us,
11:12it is the responsibility of the important departments.
11:15And especially if you look at its connection with the poor work of the country.
11:21I mentioned food processing.
11:23When we talk about increasing the income of the farmers,
11:26when we talk about connecting the farmers with the main stream,
11:29in a state like Krishipradhan Pradesh,
11:31if you look at my vision,
11:33I have always talked about processing units.
11:35I represent Hajipur,
11:37and I have always said that
11:39Hajipur has bananas,
11:40they go down south and make banana chips,
11:42but there are no such units there.
11:44If these units are set up there,
11:46the state from which I come, Makhana,
11:48in today's date,
11:49it is not in the country,
11:50but in the world,
11:51it is in demand.
11:52In such a case,
11:53if its processing units are set up there,
11:55where the farmers produce it,
11:57then they will get a higher price.
11:59All the partners,
12:01all the ministries that have been given the responsibility,
12:03the way the former Chief Minister Adaniya Jeetanath Majhi ji
12:06has been given the responsibility of MSME,
12:09this is the backbone of the country.
12:12This is a sector that is strong.
12:14If you look at the corona period,
12:16if the Prime Minister had given the most strength to anyone,
12:19then it was given to the MSME sector.
12:21So I think that all the partners,
12:23the responsibility that has been given,
12:25it has been given to the sector of the society
12:27which needs to be hand-held.
12:29Why this kind of statement?
12:30That's what my question is.
12:31Because they want to downsize.
12:33They want to show that the importance is not being given,
12:35the Prime Minister is not taking care of their allies.
12:38This is what they wish.
12:40To fulfill their desires,
12:43they have been making such statements.
12:47I think that in the coming days,
12:49when they see the work of these ministries,
12:51they themselves will understand
12:53how important this responsibility is.
12:55Railways will have a very big role.
12:57As you know, in the last 10 years,
13:00Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji
13:03has made very big improvements in railways.
13:06Railway electrification,
13:08building new tracks,
13:10bringing new types of trains,
13:12redevelopment of stations,
13:14these are the big achievements of
13:16Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji in the last 10 years.
13:20And the Prime Minister has focused on railways
13:23because railways are the vehicles of ordinary citizens.
13:30And it is a very strong backbone of the country's economy.
13:35That's why there is a lot of focus on railways.
13:39Modi ji has an emotional relationship with railways.
13:43Along with that,
13:45this vision of the Prime Minister,
13:49which has been a transformative vision in the last 10 years,
13:53he has given the responsibility to implement this vision.
13:59I am grateful to him from the bottom of my heart.
14:03I thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji.
14:06As you have said,
14:08Modi ji has placed a big responsibility on us.
14:11He is one of the youngest members in the cabinet right now.
14:14And he has such an important portfolio
14:16with a lot of scope and potential.
14:18He has placed a big responsibility on us.
14:20First of all, I would like to thank the Prime Minister.
14:23And I would like to thank our leaders,
14:25Chandra Babu Naidu ji, Pawan Kalyan ji,
14:27and the people of Andhra Pradesh.
14:29I am very excited to do this responsibility
14:32100% full-fledged justice.
14:35As we spoke to Modi ji yesterday,
14:39he encouraged that youngsters need this field a lot.
14:43And this is at the international level,
14:45the pride of India and the pride of the government,
14:48all of this is connected.
14:50So to move forward with this very important,
14:53he also encouraged us.
14:55He also gave us the direction to work in a mission mode.
14:59And like in NDA 1 and NDA 2,
15:01there was a progress in this.
15:04And by giving it a little boost,
15:06we will keep that continuity ahead.
15:08And the day after tomorrow,
15:10we will take charge of this ministry.
15:12After that, we will keep a review meeting
15:14and plan for the future.
15:16Modi ji has made a system.
15:18Make a 100-day plan.
15:20After that, make a plan for the next 5 years,
15:2210 years, whichever direction you want to go.
15:24According to that, we will work.
15:26If you look at today's aviation,
15:29earlier it used to be like a rich man's vehicle.
15:32Air travel.
15:34But now, middle class people
15:37or people from the lower end,
15:41they are also able to travel through air.
15:44So I would like to try to make this facility of air travel
15:49better and bring them closer.
15:56It's indeed my honor
16:00that the Prime Minister has
16:03given me the responsibility of the
16:06Communications Ministry.
16:10Both
16:12the Telecom Division
16:14as well as
16:17the India Post Division
16:20have a tremendous role to play
16:24on a global stage
16:26as well as on a local stage
16:31to enjoin the hearts of
16:33millions of people across our country
16:36and across the world.
16:40Under his leadership,
16:42there has been a revolution
16:44in this department.
16:47And on this day,
16:49I vow to
16:51persevere
16:53and put in my best
16:55to ensure that we deliver
16:58according to the aspirations
17:00of the Prime Minister
17:02as well as
17:03the 140 crore people
17:05across the length and breadth of this country.
17:09It is also
17:14a little bit like coming full circle for me
17:17because as mentioned,
17:20I worked as
17:21a junior minister in this department
17:25many, many years ago
17:27in 2007, 2008 and 2009.
17:32And therefore for me,
17:35this is also a department with which
17:37I have had
17:39tremendous emotional ties.
17:43It is my sincere effort
17:46to ensure that we live up to the expectations
17:51of the people of India
17:53under the leadership of the Prime Minister.
17:55Thank you very much.
17:56First of all,
17:57I thank all the media friends
17:59who have come here
18:01in the Office of the Parliamentary Affairs
18:04to witness the
18:08official taking charge of the ministry.
18:12I thank Honourable Prime Minister Modi ji
18:15for entrusting me with this huge responsibility.
18:20I will ensure that
18:22along with my both colleagues
18:26Arjun Ram Meghalji
18:28and L. Muruganji,
18:30three of us will ensure
18:33that Prime Minister's wish
18:36to run the Parliament
18:39smoothly,
18:41taking everybody along
18:44successfully.
18:46We are committed to the job
18:49and we will ensure
18:51whatever it takes,
18:53we will reach out to everyone.
18:57I also would like to urge
18:59all the political parties,
19:01all the honourable members
19:03of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha
19:06for their kind cooperation.
19:10First of all,
19:13we are now in the Lok Tantra Temple.
19:17In the Parliament itself,
19:19our country's future is discussed
19:22and it is from here
19:24that we decide
19:26and serve the country.
19:28Every political party,
19:30every member,
19:32everyone's aim is
19:34to serve the country.
19:36Therefore,
19:37in running the Parliament,
19:39everyone's contribution is required.
19:41This is our hope.
19:43And Honourable Prime Minister,
19:45the main mantra is
19:47everyone's support, everyone's development.
19:49We want to take this spirit
19:51forward from the Parliament itself.
19:54I would like to express my gratitude
19:56to the Honourable Prime Minister
19:58for his new responsibility.
20:00And for a developed India,
20:02the commitment of a developed India,
20:04Honourable Prime Minister,
20:06I will put all my effort
20:08in it,
20:10so that women, children
20:12and all the schemes
20:14related to children
20:16can be implemented
20:18and the work being done
20:20by the Department
20:22can be accelerated.
20:24And along with that,
20:26with the various ministries,
20:28because the Women, Children and Development
20:30Ministry
20:32takes many ministries
20:34and we cooperate with many of them.
20:36So, with the various ministries,
20:38the work being done
20:40and the aims
20:42that the Honourable Prime Minister
20:44has set,
20:46oil production
20:48from the 98x2
20:50well will increase
20:52to 45,000 barrels per day
20:54very soon
20:56and gas production will also
20:58start soon.
21:00From the western offshore,
21:02ONGC has already floated
21:04a tender to get an
21:06international technology partner.
21:08All international oil
21:10and gas majors
21:12having an annual revenue above
21:1475 billion US dollars
21:16have been invited to participate
21:18in the international tender.
21:20I'll repeat,
21:22all international
21:24oil and gas majors
21:26with an annual revenue of over
21:2875 billion US dollars
21:30have been invited to participate
21:32in the tender.
21:34Now you come to green hydrogen
21:36which is one of my
21:38favourite areas
21:40and I know many of you
21:42share that passion also
21:44along with biofuels.
21:46The first green hydrogen plant
21:4810 megawatts was commissioned
21:50on 27th May 2024
21:52even whilst
21:54the elections were over.
21:56Now clearly because of the code of conduct
21:58we could not
22:00make a major
22:02this thing on it but I think
22:04it's a great achievement. We did not allow the
22:06somewhat extended
22:08electoral process to interfere
22:10in our work
22:12which meant that MOS and I
22:14could not be there on that
22:16happy occasion to
22:18participate in the inauguration.
22:20Of course at that stage
22:22we didn't even know whether we will be in this ministry or not.
22:24Now what I can say
22:26is that it's a very
22:28big milestone to have a 10 megawatt
22:30plant commissioned.
22:32Many of our oil
22:34PSUs are in the process of
22:36issuance of tender to supply green hydrogen.
22:38Green hydrogen
22:40station at Kochi
22:42has been commissioned for bus
22:44flying from Kochi airport
22:46and one of my talking points
22:48in the last few
22:50interactions with you has been that
22:52we are the first country
22:54in the world to employ
22:56green hydrogen
22:58buses and I am
23:00very happy to inform you that 15 of
23:02these buses are now flying
23:0411 in Delhi and
23:06Vadodara.
23:08So that again,
23:10now somebody will turn around
23:12and ask me what is the viability.
23:14You know when you are at this stage
23:16of pioneering
23:18you know
23:20starting a new
23:22project, you want to demonstrate
23:24that and as we get into
23:26green hydrogen more, the cost will
23:28also keep coming down but I think
23:30it's a very good
23:32start.
23:34I was frankly hoping to do this
23:36but I couldn't talk in the last
23:40how many days was the electoral process? 85 days
23:42or so. So 85
23:44days ago we were hoping
23:46to get it done. It was done. Today I
23:48can tell you that 11 of them are flying
23:50in Delhi and 4 there.
23:54One in Kochi also.
23:56Two. Not yet?
23:58Not as.
24:00BPCL. Who
24:02is this?
24:04That's what I'm saying. Please encourage.
24:06Now you have a minister also
24:08from Kerala.
24:10The green hydrogen refinery
24:12Panipat

24:20KTA plants will be installed
24:22by IOC soon.
24:24Would you like to tell us something about it or?
24:26After.
24:28Refinery and
24:30Petcam
24:32BPCL is in an advanced state to set
24:34up green field refineries
24:36and Gale is also
24:38planning an ethane cracker unit
24:40for petrochemicals.
24:42BPCL's Bina refinery
24:44is coming up and Cowberry Basin
24:46refinery is also coming up
24:48by IOCL at Chennai.
24:52Now ethanol which is
24:54again one of my favourite stories.
24:56I'm very happy to inform you
24:58that in the month of May
25:00for a
25:02month alone on a month
25:04alone basis we were able to cross
25:0615% of
25:08ethanol blending.
25:10As you know the honourable
25:12prime minister had set
25:14a target of
25:16originally of 20%
25:18blending by 2030.
25:20Just to give you the historical background
25:22when the prime minister assumed
25:24responsibility in 2014
25:26at that stage ethanol
25:28blending was about 1.4%.
25:32He set a target of 10%
25:34blending by
25:36November
25:3822. We were able
25:40to accomplish that 5 months
25:42in advance and at that stage
25:44we moved the 20%
25:46blending target from 2030
25:48to 2025.
25:50So I can tell you that on the basis
25:52of what I have seen and the basis
25:54of the work in progress
25:56I am reasonably confident
25:58that the 20% blending
26:00target which was brought forward
26:02from 2030 to 2025
26:04will be completed by the
26:062025 ethanol year.
