00:02last night, some films were released about our countrymen.

00:06Their goal is to introduce them to the youth today.

00:10Here's Katrina Son's report.

00:15Cineclassics was held at the Quirino Grandstands in Manila

00:18as part of the Independence Day 2024 programs.

00:22The films released here are about the countrymen

00:28and the hardships they went through to achieve our independence.

00:32One of the films was Bonifacio, the first president.

00:36It was directed by Senator Robin Padilla

00:39under the direction of Director Enzo Williams.

00:41This film shows life

00:44and the struggle of Andres Bonifacio

00:47to achieve our independence.

00:49It's very important for everyone to know their history,

00:53the hardships our countrymen went through,

00:57the struggles our countrymen went through,

01:00so they can appreciate the freedom we enjoy.

01:04The director of the film is Director Enzo Williams.

01:07He said it's a way for the youth to get to know Bonifacio.

01:12Many people know his name,

01:15but only a few know what he did for the country.

01:19He said he made this film for the next generation.

01:24I said, the story should be told in more detail.

01:31What he did, his contribution to history.

01:34That's what inspired me.

01:38The young viewers learned a lot from the film.

01:42Through this, they got to know Bonifacio better.

01:47Andres Bonifacio is very arrogant.

01:49He did nothing justiceful.

01:51It's important for us to know the past

01:54and to use this to have a better future

01:58and to help our Filipinas.
