Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer refrained from commenting on Rishi Sunak's upbringing but criticised Sunak's performance as Prime Minister, likening him to Liz Truss with "unfunded promises." Starmer emphasised the need for change, highlighting Labour's forthcoming manifesto, which he promises will offer hope and outline steps to rebuild the country from day one if elected. 00:00I'm going to resist the temptation to be drawn into commenting on what Rishi Sunak may or may
00:05not have had when he was growing up. What I do know and what I will say is this, that he was
00:11supposed to be, he was supposed to provide the stability after the disaster of Liz Truss but
00:18he's become the latest Tory version of her with unfunded promises in his manifesto and across
00:25the country people know there's a cost to that, they want an alternative to that. Tomorrow they'll
00:29see that alternative because we'll set out a manifesto full of hope, of change, setting out
00:33how we will rebuild and renew the country, including the first steps that we will take
00:39on day one if we come in to serve this country.
